"Are you sure she lives here? Cuz we've been here for an hour and no one's coming out," Hanni yelled as she peeked through the window of the house, the lights were off when they arrived at Danielle's house
They're not sure if the girl's home, and Hanni's voice is starting to irritate Minji.
"Why the hell would I drop you here if it isn't Dani's house?" Minji breathe an exasperated sigh
Currently, her and Chaewon are sitting on a fountain infront of the house, the latter was leaning on her shoulder for support since she felt weak
"I think it was a bad idea to go with you two, I should rest. Tell Danielle I'll treat her to dinner tomorrow, gosh this headache is killing me." Chaewon tried to stand up but Minji pulled her back
"You can't even walk straight, how are you going to get home? Let's wait. I'm sure she'll be here any minute now," Minji pulled her back in
She tore her gaze off Chaewon and glanced at Hanni's direction who got her arms on her hips, staring at them in a judgemental way
"Why are you two flirting infront of me?" She asked, warily
Minji heaved a disbelieving scoff, "I'm not answering that, why did you come with us in the first place?"
"We've been together for an hour and you only decided to ask that now?" Hanni grimaced
"Doesn't matter,"
They were in silence for another minute or so before Hanni sat down with them.
Minji figured to start a conversation to ease this painfully awkward atmosphere around them
"So, why did you come?"
Hanni rolled her eyes at the girl, "Because I don't know if I was tripping earlier or not, Kai and Danielle never talked. They always pass by each other in the hallways but they don't talk. Kai does not even bat an eye on your friend so what's the thing I heard at the parking lot?" Hanni licked her lips as she look away, seeming to be in utter confusion just like Minji was
Minji nodded her head, "Yeah, it's unexpected, you think they're dating?"
Hanni's eyes widened, "Bullshit, Kai likes Haerin not Danielle... oops." She covered her mouth, "Forget I said that,"
"He likes who?"
Their head whipped to the direction where that familiar voice came from, it was Danielle.
"Dani..." Minji called softly
She instantly noticed the paleness of her friend, she looks far more exhausted than Kai was.
"Why are you here?" Danielle released a dejected sigh
"Chaewon wanted to see you and uhm.. we're just worried." said Minji
Chaewon slowly awoke from her deep sleep, her eyes roamed around the area and when it meet Danielle's her face reddened
"I don't feel so good," she muttered under her breath
Minji and Hanni helped her stand up, "What's wrong?"
"Get her out of here, we'll talk tomorrow." Danielle stated solemnly and went in
Minji handed Chaewon to Hanni for awhile before she followed her friend
"Danielle.. what's wrong? You're not acting yourself," Minji huffed
"I'm just really tired, let's talk tomorrow." She replied, lazily
Minji chuckled wryly, "You never tell me anything. Yeah, okay, let's talk tomorrow when you figured out what lies you want to tell me," Then left
Danielle breathed heavily, it was barely restrained seething. It took her a minute to go out there and say her apology to Minji, good thing she caught up to them entering her car
"Minji..." She called
But instead of Minji, Chaewon looked at her. The girl froze on her seat before she started shaking.
"What the-" Hanni couldn't finish her sentence
Chaewon's throwing up with foam in her mouth, she was retching and her eyes were rolling back into her head
Danielle quickly sat beside her and covered Chaewon's eyes with her handkerchief
"Drive Minji," She spoke in a calm manner
Minji's eyes were trembling as well as her hands as she starts the car while Hanni on the passenger seat remained staring at the two in the back with a worried expression
Chaewon has stopped throwing up at this point but she wasn't responding with their questions either.
"I'm so sorry, Chaewon." Danielle whispered under her shuddering breaths
They arrived at the hospital and Chaewon was put down in the ICU. They couldn't explain what exactly happened to the doctors asking
But one thing is for sure.
Chaewon's getting triggered whenever she sees Kai or Danielle, and that's what Hanni and Minji are going to figure out.
Even if it means believing the impossible, they are determined to know what's occuring, and what might occure. They're both prepared for all eventualities by now
