"Why are you wearing Dani's sweatshirt, cap?"
That was the first question thrown at Haerin after she entered the clinic. She looked away when Minji kept staring at her intensely
"Your friend poured coffee on me," She replied, coldly. Hanni's head instantly whipped at Danielle's direction who's peacefully sipping on her coffee but is now choking by Haerin's response
Danielle quickly stood up to defend herself, "No, I did not!" She even crossed her arms
Haerin released a dejected sigh, "Are we good here? I need to study,"
Hyein approached her and clung her arms to the girl, "I'll come with you, I may need a tutor. We have an exam on Monday."
"Okay."
Haerin took her bag and for a moment she froze because everyone's taking their own bag as well. She didn't think much of it not until they went out of school and the others are still following
"Are you all being for real right now?" She asked, obviously frustrated.
"What? What did Danielle do this time?" Hanni asked, annoying the said girl beside her
"Seriously why me?" Danielle pointed at herself, offended.
Hanni hid her smile, "Everybody knows about your on going beef with Haerin, so, as long as you're here with us I won't stop blaming you for everything." She grinned
Danielle's jaw almost dropped at her explanation, "You're evil."
"Trust me, I know." Minji whispered
"Are you guys done?" Haerin glanced at them one-by-one, boredly.
Not until her eyes landed at Kai who's unusually quiet. Usually, he's the one spouting nonsense and going along with Hanni's teasing but this time he's quiet
"Kai.." She called, "You okay?"
Kai stared at her blankly before giving an empty smile, "Yes. Are you sure you're okay? Tell us if something hurts with you,"
Haerin nods. She noticed Danielle staring at Kai as well, Hanni staring at Danielle and Minji staring at Hanni.
Hyein nudged Haerin's arms, breaking the tension that was arousing around them
"I'll study at the cafe, if you're coming don't bother me." She added
"You can study at my house," Kai offered which earned a protest from Danielle
"She said she wanted to study at a cafe, the ambience there is much more better than your house," She hissed at his face
The tension arouse for the second time and Haerin's getting confused at the two
"You've been to Kai's house?" She queries
Danielle pan her head back to the girl and raised a brow, yet she didn't say anything and so did Kai
"I think they're dating," Hyein whispered which made Haerin scoffed in disbelief
Kai avoided their gaze, "If you don't want to, I can come with you at the cafe."
"We're all coming by the way.. did you guys forget we're still here?" Hanni waved her hand and rolled her eyes
Haerin proceeds to walk, they were crossing the road, it was redlight however a car passed by which almost dragged Minji, good thing with Hanni's quick reflex she pulled her in
"It's a damn red light!" Hanni yelled at the car whose owner didn't even bothered to stop
"You good?" They asked Minji, she nods her head in response though she seemed in shock
Kai and Danielle were stiff as they continue to walk their way in a near cafe.
"Minji, are you sure you're okay? Do you want me to call your driver?" Danielle grabbed her hand and Minji flinched
She forced a smile, "I'm okay, what do you guys wanna drink? It's my treat,"
"I kinda want some mint-choco ice cream," Hanni replied
Minji sighed in disappointment, "We're literally at a cafe, they don't sell ice cream here," Somehow Hanni's response made Minji forget whatever happened to her minutes ago and they all noticed that as well
"What are you gonna do about it then? I want me some mint-choco," Hanni provoked while crossing her arms
"Buy it yourself then," Minji retorted
Hanni pouts, "Rude,"
Haerin was about to say she's not that fond of coffee's and would rather drink banana milk when Kai and Danielle set it down infront of her
Kai and Danielle stared at each other in incredulity
Haerin would understand if Kai knows her favourite drink but how did Danielle?
She snapped out and pursed her lips, "Thanks," Haerin whispered, they almost couldn't hear it
Kai sat beside Hyein who's beside Haerin, the atmosphere went quiet and that's actually what Haerin needs right now hence she didn't mind
Danielle started studying as well, while Hanni and Minji couldn't stop pestering each other
Haerin puts her glasses on and began to read her notes. It was a quiet afternoon with just the six of them.
Seconds turns to minutes turns to hours, they didn't perceived that the sun has set.
Danielle closed her eyes for a bit as she massaged the bridge of her nose. She stretched her whole body and that's when she realized the others had fallen asleep
She stared at them one-by-one. There was a gnawing feeling in her heart which she couldn't pinpoint what.
Her eyes landed on Haerin's beautiful sleeping face.
Danielle rests her head on the table where Haerin's seated across from her. She observed her face for a few minutes
A bitter smile crept into her
"Tell me what I should do, Haerin," She spoke in a soft, quiet voice hoping the said girl would reply and tell her what exactly she's ought to do
