"Who believes in an alternate dimension? You do know we live in the three-dimensional world, do you?"

Instead of focusing her mind on the television upfront, Danielle's attention were on Haerin the whole time. They are currently on Kai's house, watching every science related videos. Good thing they all get along with it, the others are intrigued with the concept of life as well as space and time

They haven't seen each other for three days for the reason that Haerin doesn't want Danielle to see her that way. Frail and weak. Danielle told her to stay at home and don't go outside but being the stubborn girl that she is, she refuses to obey

Haerin excused herself without waiting for the other's reply. She rushed to the nearest bathroom, and without thinking twice Danielle followed

She tailed Haerin. There she stood infront of the mirror, clasping her chest as she chases her breaths. Taking deep long breaths.

Danielle stood at the doorway. Seeing Haerin suffer hurts something inside of her because she's seeing it again for the second time.

They fought so hard together last time as they wait for death's arrival, Danielle couldn't accept the fact that it's happening briefly right infront of her eyes.

Haerin slid down the cold floor, she felt feeble and out of energy all of a sudden. Tears of discomfort escaped her feline eyes, she's having an extreme fatigue and shortness of breath that even Danielle who's ten steps ahead could hear her rattling breath

With small quiet steps, Danielle walked in her direction, wearing a smile that's obviously fake Haerin could tell from afar

"Why did you follow me?" Haerin didn't have the energy to push her away, she stays limp on the floor

Danielle leveled her face, she wiped Haerin's tears and joined her on the floor. "How do you feel?"

"With what?"

"With me liking you?" Danielle joked

Haerin scoffed, she tried to move but she's too tired to even budge her way out

"You shouldn't be wasting your time with me," Haerin whispers, she winced when she felt a sharp pain on her back but it vanishes as soon as it did appear

"I very much like to spend everytime with you," said Danielle

Haerin felt another pain, it was like needles striking on her bones one by one. She tried not to react as much so Danielle wouldn't notice but the way she winces made the latter think something was wrong

"Let's go to the hospital?" Danielle asked in a sweet tone, smiling beautifully like the sunflowers in a garden looking at you as the bright ray of sunlight hits you on the face

Moving without pain, without aches, was just one thing Haerin used to take for granted. Today her muscles feel as though they have been flash-burned with acid from the inside - just sufficient to make them move like the living cells have been replaced by aging rubber bands, thick and twisted.

The ache is dull, as if some lazy torturer is standing right behind her, only applying enough pressure to be an annoyance. It sits there, just to the side of the right shoulder blade toward the spine. She could imagine it would be like this lying on a large glass marble; perhaps at first it would be pleasant yet soon it would be just like this pain she's currently suffering with

"I hate the smell of disinfectant," Haerin whined like a little kid

Danielle chuckled, "Okay... no hospital.. for now."

"I wanna sleep, Dani." She mumbled, rubbing her eyes as she yawns

Danielle went closer, letting Haerin rest on her shoulder. Tears went cascading on her cheeks. She bit her lip to stifle her sobs, just so Haerin wouldn't wake up

"Dani?" She called

Danielle swallowed hard, "Y-yeah?"

"I'm so scared," Haerin sobbed so loud and that triggered Danielle's even more. Now they're both crying without looking at each other

"I know, I know you are, baby." She pats and caresses her hair gently

Haerin weeped, "If there was no one else, and nothing left to do. Would you still stay with me?"

Danielle couldn't answer for the reason that she can't construct a word because of too much crying.

As if the soul could bleed an ocean through the eyes, that was the enormity of her sobbing.

Minutes passed by, Haerin was in a deep sleep. The others came inside the bathroom and sat with them

Starting from Hyein who's holding a bear with a long pout drawing her mouth. Hanni who's already crying her eyes out while Minji consoles her, and Kai who couldn't look at them for the reason that he's guilty eventhough he shouldn't be.

They cried silently as Haerin sleeps peacefully, taking back the energy she lost for the day. The others wipe their cheeks every few seconds.

To the point where they didn't knew how long they've been crying for the girl who hasn't even died yet. This wasn't the ending they expected the hangout session would end up with

It was such a shock for the others to know from Haerin that she doesn't have many days left on earth. They were in-denial but now that it's come to this, it's finally hitting them all.

Friendship is a love-nexus thing, it can't be bought or sold, yet earned with steady steps that build trust. A good friend may not always be able to be there for you, nor save you from every storm, for there are times this universe sets solo challenges for us all. Yet in all of this they love you. They would be there for you if they could. If you love one another, if you would always do your best for one another, then you are good friends.

And that's what they all have; each other.
