HER FEET SLOWLY CARRIED her through the doors. Blood and death flooded the home. Her foot kicked at a sharp object below that she leaned to pick up. Not a single living soul was inside the compound, not even the original.

Elara fell to her knees in front of the noble brother with the knife raised before she plunged it into his skin and dragged it down his torso. She reached into his body to get the weapon that put him in sleepful torture.

He shot up with a sharp gasp. "Elijah?"

He looked around his eyes darting to every corner of his surroundings. "Blood. You're bleeding," she looked down at her blood-stained clothes. "It doesn't matter. Listen to me, he found a way. A sucky way, but he did, and he needs you. He's tricking her, none of this was real, he didn't really mean any of it."

She shrugged, "maybe some of it was a bit personal, but his alliance with Dahlia is all a ploy."

"You've lost your mind," he refused. "He has lost his mind."

"No, he needs her to trust him. Elijah if you care about me- about Hope, you have to believe me. He had to make it look convincing.'

"To what possible end?"

Elara looked down at her bloody hand. "To her secret. He told me how to kill Dahlia."

She helped him up. "I-I need to change," she dropped the knife.

"Wait, this plan of his...we had a plan! We had a set plan."

"But it wouldn't have worked! Now I admit he is one paranoid, conniving son of a bitch, but he's always one step further than the rest of us. You had the wrong ingredient to kill her and he's buying time to figure it out." She finished explaining. Nothing with her husband was ever simple, but when it came to family he always found a way.

Elara left him to his own thoughts while she left to quickly shower off all of the blood. More yelling was heard downstairs. "Of course, you left me with your mess," she mumbled closing her bedroom door.

The moment her feet hit the ground downstairs, they were off. Elijah held her. "Hayley. You left her!"

"Elijah! She is pregnant for god's sake get your hands off her!" Rebekah saved her from the wrath of another one of her brothers yet again. Elara coughed once his hand was no longer blocking the air from her lungs.

She gasped for air, looking at him. "When Klaus came the wolves started to shift. I was protected by my bind to him, but Hayley... she's alive, but a wolf. I'm sorry I was too busy trying to keep my daughter safe from your psycho family, yet again, Elijah."

Rebekah who stood between them spoke up. "Freya called. Dahlia is incapacitated. They're two hours north at an orchard near Pearl River." Rebekah turned to Elara, "She has Hope." Elijah left and Elara went to follow until the blond stopped her. "We need you here. She'll be here, safe."
