After I had a good cry on my bed, I decided I needed to get my mind off of things. I got up and put peppermint oil in my diffuser which made the entire room smell like Christmas. Afterwards I washed my face of all the makeup I had on for the party.

I changed into my favorite Christmas nightgown and then brushed out my hair until it was soft. I was suddenly overcome by the urge for some hot chocolate and I also needed to rant to Judy about everything, I loved our late night talks. That would definitely make me feel better.
I put on some socks and my black house shoes and set off for the kitchen. It was very quiet around the workshop as the majority of the elves went to bed, I knew there would be some stragglers but they were probably all enjoying some late night cookies after the party. I arrived in the kitchen where the fireplace was still lightly crackling. Judy saw me. She ran over and said, "Oh Emily, I've been so worried about you! Everyone has especially after they saw how you and Bernard left." She gave me a big hug and it was hard not to cry all over again. I hugged her back and then said, "Can I have some hot chocolate?" With a sniff. Judy smiled sadly at me and said, "Of course. Want a little bit of peppermint in it?" I nodded. I loved that she knew automatically that I loved peppermint.
Judy sat down too with her own cup of hot chocolate and I told her everything. She is one of my best friends and I hers. "Wow. I can't believe he left you like that, especially after he danced with you. It just doesn't make sense. The signs were all there, why did he do that?" "I don't know...look, I know I've been ranting on about my depressing night, but I saw you and Curtis! How was the night for you guys?" I said, poking her playfully. She blushed and I knew immediately something happened.
"Well...we kissed." She started. I gasped excitedly. "And...he asked me if I wanted to go out for cocoa sometime!!" Judy said excitedly. I hugged her tightly and said, "Finally! Everyone knows you were both made for each other!" She hugged me back and said, "It sure feels like it!" I was very happy for Judy but couldn't help but feel a little jealous, if only the same thing could happen with me and Bernard...
A little while later, I knew I needed to head back to my room, Judy needed to close the kitchen soon. I gave her one last tight hug and she said, "I mean it, if you ever need anything during the night, call me!" I hugged her back again and said with a soft smile, "Will do."
I left the kitchen with my to-go cup of hot cocoa and set off again for my room. I was about halfway there and into a hallway when I felt a cold breeze blow through the hall. I shivered a little and then someone tapped me on the shoulder. "Well hello there!" It was Frost. I rolled my eyes and said, "What do you want Frost?" "Well I couldn't help but overhearing about the drama that happened tonight!" I sighed and started to walk away. "I don't want to talk about it." Then Frost stopped me.
"Aww, I know love can be difficult but it is important to talk about it!" He said. "It's not-we're not-" I was cut off by Jack putting a finger to my lips. "Shh shh shh. Now now now, Bernard was very out of hand tonight I would say, especially when all of the talk between the elves was that something would have happened between you two tonight. Well it sure did!" Frost cackled. I felt sadder. "You know, I thought the guy had it in him! I thought maybe after all this time maybe just maybe...he cared for you or even..." He got close and whispered, "Loved you."
A single tear rolled down my cheek. Frost swiftly wiped it off of my cheek and then said, "Well then, I'm so glad we talked. Now it's time for the important part!" He said enthusiastically. "What? What else could you possibly want from me?" I said my voice on the verge of tears. "I was wanting to know if you wanted to be my elf!" "What?" "Well, obviously this place has proven that it's not good enough for you, so you should join me! We could be unstoppable!" He said.
"No way Frost! I may have had some really hard things happen to me tonight, but The North Pole has gifted me so much and it's my home! I will never join you." I said confidently. "Well it's a shame...I did give you a choice..." Then Frost snapped his fingers and two SNOW GUARDS appeared! My eyes widened in horror. I backed away in fear as the guards growled at me. Then Frost snapped his fingers and an ice lever appeared. "It's time to say goodbye now Emily!" Then he pulled the lever. "Bye bye!" The floor opened up and I fell through screaming.
I slid down an ice slide for what seemed like forever and then the slide ended and I fell on my back. I then stood up wincing a little in pain. I looked around and realized I was in an ice cave! This must be miles below the workshop, I thought. It was very cold in here and I was wishing I had my hot chocolate with me.

Then a face appeared on an ice screen, it was Frost. "Well hello Emily! I hope you enjoy your new home! This is where you'll be staying forever!" Frost giggled. "Frost let me go right now!" I said angrily. "Oh no, I mustn't! They wouldn't need you up there anyway." "Frost it's freezing in here please take me back!" I said. "Oh yes I am glad you noticed that, you see, the longer you are in here, the colder it gets. So I guess that doesn't look like good news for you huh?" He laughed and then the screen turned off. I stood there in fear, I needed to get out of here fast! I need help!!
