chapter 60

Can't believe I'm already on chapter 60. I started unwanted twin in June and within the first few months I had over a million. Now I'm on the second book granted I lost alot of readers for Damon's death.

I don't think they will be alot of chapters left, I now have an ending planned...and of course as you all know I have way to many cliff. hangers....

This is quite a short chapter as it was hard for me to write but it's sort of a *special* chapter.

Also although written in English for book purposes everything in the chapter is spoken in Italian. So I haven't bothered with translating just imagine the words they say are in Italian.

Damon happily followed his father around as he began to get a baby Emilia ready for the day.
Damon knew his father to be strict and a no nonsense type of man so he found it entertaining to see his father speaking to Emilia in a somewhat baby voice.

"Why don't you let mother do it" Damon asked as his father was currently deciding on an outfit for his daughter.

Alesandros smiled faultered, he tried to hide it from his children but Damon was too intelligent. He knew everything.

"I don't see how anyone could hate such an adorable child" Damon said smiling at Emilia.
She was almost 2 so her vocabulary was mostly sounds but she was able to say a few words.

Her favourite words were

"Papa" and "demon"

Damon couldn't bring himself to correct his sister.

"Go make sure Mason is up" Alesandro told his son when Alice walked in carrying Lexi, of course she had her dressed in designer clothes.

Now Alesandro had no issues with money he was a billionaire but he never saw the reason to dress the little ones in designer outfits if they would only wear it once.

Alice never cared for Emilia so Alesandro was quick to pick her up and start dressing her for the day. Alice didn't say anything but Alesandro knew she was dying to say something.
"You're going to be the prettiest girl there" Alesandro said fixing the little bow headband to her.

"Excuse me, what about Lexi, you can't say that to her and not your other daughter Besides Lexi looks better than her"
"Of course, both my princesses are adorable ' Alesandro said and kissed Lexi on her forehead. He treated Lexi with just as much love as his other children however because Alice  was too preoccupied with Lexi, it probably did come across as favourtism.

"Did you get Matteo and Dante ready or were you too busy with Alexia to even consider your other children" Alesandro had started to hate the woman he married ever since the twins were born and he saw how she neglected Emilia.

"They are old enough to do it themselves"  Alice replied as she started talking to Lexi.

"They are 2 and 3, clearly not old enough" Alesandro snapped at how his wife was behaving. He picked Emilia up to take her with him.

"The girls need to bond, I apologize Alesandro. You go get them ready and I'll watch the girls" Alice said.

Of course Alesandro was hesitant but he knew the twins needed to bond more so he set Emilia down in the corner next to were Lexi was, she was playing with some toys.

Maybe Alice had seen how wrong she was? At least that's what Alesandro thought as he left to get his younger sons ready for the day.

Emilia tried to play but she took hold of one toy and Lexi pushed her snatching the toy back. Emilia had tears in her eyes "my poor baby" Alice said going and cuddling Lexi. She then glared at Emilia "stupid brat you don't touch Lexi's toys" she scolded. She wanted to scold her more but she knew Alesandro would find out.

"There's my princess" Damon walked in the room, Alice was glad she didn't take it further.

"Lexi has missed you so much Damon" Alice said going to pass Lexi to Damon.

Damon smiled"of course she has" he treated all his siblings similar and gave her a quick cuddle before handing her back.

He then picked up Emilia "no need to cry Emilia, I wasn't gone that long" he joked smiling at her.

After an hour of trying to get the boys ready, everyone was finally ready.

Every year the family would go to the park where fireworks were set off to introduce the new year.

It was new years eve and the family were together.

To Alice's horror, Alesandro insisted on a double pram, so she was pushing both girls.
Dante was on Alesandros shoulders so he could see the fireworks better and Matteo was in his push chair that Alesandro was also pushing.

The night went on, the family enjoyed the fireworks. The boys had enjoyed coming every year,

Everything seemed to be getting better. Until it wasn't.

"Papa can we get donuts" Dante asked, there was a booth not far so Alesandro agreed.

"Boys come with me I can't carry everything ' Alesandro instructed his two eldest to follow him as he hadn't really got any free hands.

Biggest mistake he made that night.

When he got back to where they were standing before he saw the pram but he didn't see his girls or wife. He panicked to start with until he heard a small cry. Underneath blanket was Emilia.

In relief Alesandro picked his daighter up. Dante was now off his shoulders occupying himself with the donuts
He rocked his crying child bsck and fourth.

"Why hasn't the girl shut up" Alive replied turning up carrying Lexi.

"Are you fucking kidding me. You left our daughter in the pram all alone. What the fuck is wrong with you" Alesandro was pissed.

"Lexi wanted a better view"

Alesandro was fuming. He knew his wife didn't care for the child but to put her in danger.

So Alesandro tried to enjoy the rest of the evening for his childrens sake but when they got home and their children were in bed. The arguement continued.

Damon could hear from his room so he wanted to check if she was okay.

Emilia was laid in a cot in one of the rooms.

"Hi Emilia you okay" he could still hear Alesandro shouting about safey.

Emilia shook her head and raised her hands.

"It's ok. Things will get better " he  hoped but doubted it.

He was old enough to know what happened.

"Demon" she mumbled as she cuddled into his chest.
"Aww. You're so cute. I'm right here, not going anywhere" he told her.
"Promise" she mumbled.

"Yes Emilia. I'll protect you with my life. Always. I will not let anyone hurt you "

Emilia smiled,  hugging him.

"Happy new year little one" he said after several minutes.
