Saturday mornings were usually quiet in the house. Alesandro was a early riser, Damon was mostly out these days doing mafia stuff and his other children preferred not to get up early.

Today was different though.

Last night Alesandro had told Emilia they were going somewhere. So as Alesandro casually drinking coffee and reading some work related documents in the kitchen, Emilia appeared looking nervous but had a smile on her face.
"So where are we off too" she asked as she sat down. She instantly noticed her father was wearing a suit.

Her father was always quite formal with the way he dressed however at weekends he opted for just shirts instead of the blazer and tie that he wore on weekdays.
Alesandro debated whether to keep it a suprise and in the end he chose suprise.

"Well you know that restaurant you're helping me with, I need to go meet the design team again, I probably should have just had Mason but he's busy designing a new layout for one of Damon's clubs. Anyway since you have helped so far, I figured you could come along" he said. Part of it was true.

Mason was busy with one of Damon's clubs or he would have had mason as the head of design.

The restaurant was ready though and the problems the design team did have, he had solved them last week.

"Okay, so are you still going with that first design you created or are you going to change it to make it easier for them?" She asked, she secretly hoped he wouldn't change the design as it was mostly her ideas, of course Alesandro had helped by giving her different choices based on his preferences.

"We are sticking with the one we designed together" Alesandro said, emphasising on 'we'.

"Now make yourself some breakfast and go get ready" he continued.

He was used to making her breakfast but it had been several months now since she was here and as the weeks passed he made her breakfast less, not because he didn't want to but because he wanted her to learn she can eat whenever she wanted.

She had come down in her pajamas too which was also a big improvement from a few months prior where she'd come down ready for the day and anticipating something bad happening.
After all Henry and Alice made sure she was up and ready early in the morning to start on the impossible list of chores. And if she wasn't ready for the day she would be punished and wouldn't get a chance to get ready for the day.
Thankfully Alesandro broke that habit and she was alot more relaxed in the mornings.

She reluctantly made herself some breakfast, she wasnt feeling too hungry but she knew Alesandro never let any of his kids go without breakfast....even Damon when he was in.

(I kind of imagine Alesandro as a parent who fusses over the amount of food they eat and makes sure they drink enough and if they have everything they need for school)

It was nice though. Alesandro was exactly what she had always wanted. She had wanted a parent who cares even if it was just about the little things and a parent who loved her.

After a while, Alesandro and Emilia left the house. Alesandro was hoping she would like the restaurant. They were also holding interviews later that day so he wanted her to see it first and then take her home where he would then go back hire staff and hopefully the two of them could have a meal there when it opens and of course after that it would be a family meal. Everytime he opened a new restaurant, he and his sons would go for a meal in it.

But this time he wanted it just to be him and Emilia at first.

They arrived at the location and Alesandro was hoping his daughter liked the restaurant, if not he'd have the design team back in to make changes.
