(Third person, Changbin's perspective)
Everyone started walking back up to the house, casual conversation filling the air. Changbin just walked along with the rest, listening to what was being said when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was Ava. She was walking a few meters behind the rest, her arms wrapped around her in a makeshift hug. She was looking at the ground, eyes still red and puffy from crying a moment ago.
She seemed troubled. So much so that Changbin was afraid for her. He slowed his walk, falling behind the rest of the boys without being noticed. Then he slowly made his way to Ava. She didn't notice him walking next to her at first, but she seemed to get a fright when she did, flinching away and snapping her gaze up at him.
"It's okay. It's just me," he said, lifting his hands in surrender.
Her gaze softened and she looked down at the ground again.
"Sorry, I'm just a bit jumpy I guess," he heard her mumble.
He walked a bit closer to her, but not close enough to make her uncomfortable. They stayed in silence for a few more steps, the softs sounds of the water behind them soothing to hear.
"Is there something I can do for you?" Changbin asked after a while, making Ava stop and turn to him.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you seem like you have something on your mind. Is there something I can do to help?"
"I don't really think there's much anyone can do but thanks for the offer."
"Sure, and you know that if you want to talk, even if it's just something random, I'll listen. Any time."
Ava smiled slightly at him, giving a sniffle before walking again. Changbin kept walking next to her, still feeling uneasy, but knowing that she at least knew she could come to him. If she was ready.
"You know, there is actually something you can do. Could you maybe get all the boys together somewhere? I have something I want to talk to you all about," Ava said after a long walk in silence.
Changbin nodded at her, jogging inside and gathering the boys around the kitchen island. I wonder what it is she wants to tell us, he thought to himself. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. But Changbin got a feeling that whatever she was going to tell them, it would be something big.
(First person, Ava's perspective)
I watched as Changbin jogged inside to gather the boys and my stomach clenched. I didn't know what to say to them, or even when I was going to tell them the whole story. I needed time. Time that I didn't necessarily have. I saw the boys all gathered in the kitchen, making my nerves spike.
I took in a steadying breath and started walking inside. When I came to stand in the gap next to Changbin, all the boys looked at me, suddenly quiet. Some of them seemed very worried, making me even more nervous. I cleared my throat before trying to speak, my voice still coming out small and wavering.
"I asked Changbin to gather you all here because I... I have something to tell you all."
I sensed the tension in the room when I said that, most of the boys shifting worriedly.
"It's nothing to worry about. I'm not in danger or anything. It's just... something I have been meaning to get off my chest for a while. Uhm... but I don't feel completely prepared to tell you all now. Is there any way I could maybe... tell you all tonight rather than now? Just so I can get my thoughts in order and stuff."
