Dinning Room, Maegor's Holdfast

132 AC

Elaera rolled her eyes at Alicent's prayer, especially when she added in Vaemond.

"I would like to make a toast as well." she announced casually, standing up. "To all the dragon riders in this family. Has Aegon and Sunfyre won a race yet?"

"Aegon—" Alicent started.

"No." Helaena said serenly, cutting off her mother.

"Oh dear. Well, I think I can break out my Beginnger's Flight 101 if Aegon needs to borrow it, if we can confirm his bond with Sunfyre hasn't already weakened."

Aegon went red at the implied insult. "I'll win, watch me."

"Ah yes, then you need to work for it, nothing is a cakewalk, your mother's sheltering be damned. Grow your balls Aegon." Elaera said curtly.

"Elaera." Viserys warned and the lilac eyed princess sat down.

"Well done." Daemon smirked.

"There is none of that language at my table." Alicent said shortly.

"Technically it is Viserys's table, and this his keep, not yours." Daemon cut in.

"Yes, Alicent." Viserys agreed. "We need to keep High Valyrian alive as much as possible, and they may speak it whenever they want."

Alicent went red and dinner continued.

"A toast, to my grandson's Maekar's betrothal to Lady Adrianna Celtigar." Viserys said. Elaera noted how Aemond's fists clenched, jealousy flashing through his eyes. Interesting. she mused. "May your marriage be long, happy, and fruitful."

"Another toast, to my son, Jacaerys, and his cousin Baela." Rhaenyra spoke up. "I shall hope your marriage is built on friendship and respect, and hopefully love."

"Definitely love." Rhaena muttered. She had walked in on her twin and cousin kissing far too many times.

"And to Visenya and Vaenar, may Driftmark and High Tide flourish under your rule, I'm glad to leave it in capable hands." Corlys declared.

Viserys eventually left after another speech, and the music broke out.

"A dance, my love?" Daemon inquired.

Elaera smiled. "Of course, darling."

The couple went for the dance floor, easily falling into the beat of the music. Harwin and Rhaenyra also began to dance as well, along with Jacaerys and Baela, Maekar and Adrianna, Vaenar and Visenya, and Rhaenys and Corlys.

Aegon and Helena did not dance, but Lucerys asked Helaena to a dance. Aegon looked ready to punch him on the spot, but he didn't.

Elaera was so lost in being with Daemon, that she did not hear the thud of Maekar's fist hitting Aemond's jaw until it was to late.

The two princes were already brawling as the Kingsguard rushed to pull them apart.

"What happened here!?" Rhaenyra roared, stepping in-between the two.

"He called Kepa a murderous bastard and Joffrey a bastard." Maekar spat.

"What, he looks far to much like his half siblings then his full siblings—"

"ENOUGH!" Rhaenyra bellowed, silencing the room. "Aemond, the next time you insult my children is when I will ensure you never do it again! Maekar, next time to not respond with your fists!"

"There goes our hopefully peaceful dinner." Aerion sighed, swinging down his water.

"Hold your tongue, Aerion." Baela hissed, and the Blacks watched as the Greens slowly left the room.

The blacks eventually left too, after making their plans for the rest of the night.

That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it!
