Chamber of the Painted Table, Dragonstone Castle

"We secured Lord Borros's support." Maekar confirmed to the Black Council.

First was Rhaenyra, the Queen.

Then came his mother, the Hand of the Queen.

Following her was Lord Corlys, Master of Ships, and Princess Rhaenys, Mistress of Dragons.

His father, on one of his many tours of Essos, had aquirred dragon horns. These would be used by the Mistress or Master of Dragons, who would be in charge of the care and health of the royal dragons.

After the married couple came twenty two year old Lady Carina Celtigar, the Mistress of Coin.

The niece of Lord Bartimos and Adrianna's sister, she had been managing the Midnight Fortress's treasury for five years, and had proven herself successful and loyal.

Next up was Lady Mysaria, the Mistress of Whispers and Lord Henry Blackwood, the Master of Laws.

And finally, Prince Daemon Targaryen, Master of War. Though he was not present at the moment, off with Harwin and Aerion to secure Harrenhal and the Riverlands.

"I am now betrothed to Lady Ellyn, and we shall rule the Stepstones." Lucerys said. Corlys let out an approving hum. "I am confident we can manage it, and use the wealth the Stepstones bring in."

"If you wish, Prince Lucerys, I can show you how much the Stepstones reap each year and how to best manage it." Lady Carina offered. A descendant of Old Valyria, the Celtigar lady was particularly beautiful with platinum blonde hair and sparkling lavender eyes.

But compared to the Targaryens, hers paled. But in a crowd, she would stand out and draw attention.

"That would be helpful." Lucerys smiled.

"Aerion is betrothed too Cassandra, and he will be the Lord Consort of Storm's End." Maekar continued.

"Very good." Rhaenyra spoke. "I have heard from Baela that she has been successful with confirming my cousin, Lady Jeyne Arryn's, support. We have the Vale and hopefully the Westerlands and the North."

"We must take King's Landing." Corlys spoke. "We must claim the capital of Westeros, which would be a fatal blow to the Greens."

"True." Elaera agreed. Her eyes were thoughtful before she smirked.

"We will lose many men trying to take the city." Henry pointed out. "We can't get in through the front gates! Nor the secret entrances that lead into the Red Keep."

"We won't." the Silver Princess hummed. "We'll use the sewers, and open the gates from the inside out."

"There's also a secret entrance somewhere in the Street of Silk that leads right to the Red Keep." Rhaenyra added.

Elaera turned to Mysaria. "Spread the word to the smallfolk: Queen Rhaenyra will not have a sack. They outnumber the guards and they can open the gates."

"And we will take the city with no bloodshed." Rhaenyra finished.

That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it!
