Waking up in a good mood was one of the best things that could happen if you had to go to school. Felix's mood was normally terrible in the morning, but today was different; he dreamed about Chan. He got out of bed with a smile on his face, walking to the bathroom to do his morning routine.

When he got downstairs, his father raised an eyebrow at him while turning a page in the newspaper he was holding. "What?" Felix asked his father while swooningly biting into a piece of bread. "No cursing and running around when you're late again?" The blonde's smile soon dropped as he checked the time on his phone, realizing his first class started in twenty minutes. "FUCK!" He quickly swallowed the piece of bread and sprang from his chair to run upstairs.

Ten minutes later he was ready to go, so he quickly said goodbye to his parents and started running the route he hated so much. Despite being late and having to go school, he couldn't help but smile as he thought of his dream again, and hopefully seeing Chan soon.

When he arrived, almost everyone was already inside, including his best friend, so he took a last sprint to his class. He searched for Jisung in the back and waved at the boy when the latter noticed him. Weirdly, the squirrel-like boy didn't give him a response. Felix didn't think too much of it, but his smile dropped immediately when he saw a familiar figure sitting on the last row, a table next to his best friend.

Chan sat with his head low and a hood covering most of his hair and half of his face. Felix couldn't really see the part of his face that was shown from afar, but he felt like something was off.

The blonde slowly walked towards his usual spot next to Jisung, trying to catch a glimpse of Chan's face in the meantime. With no luck he placed his bag on the ground and focused on the teacher that had started the lesson.

While the teacher explained something, Felix glanced over at the figure next to Jisung again, his heart almost stopping at the sight; Chan's right cheek was almost purple from the bruises. His lip looked busted and small cuts were scattered over his whole face, as well as his hands, and Felix was afraid these weren't the only body parts that were bruised by the way the older flinched with any simple movement.

It was as if Chan could feel someone staring at him, because his eyes locked with Felix's. The latter wanted to say something, anything, other than just stare at him, but Chan pulled the hood even further over his head, not allowing the blonde to inspect his face even more than he already had.

Felix shifted in his chair as a sign he was feeling anxious while looking around the classroom, hoping someone else would care about a student being beat up, but it seemed like Felix was the only one who noticed.

The blonde looked at his best friend, but even he seemed more interested in the teacher. Felix nudged Jisung's arm, hoping he would gain the boy's attention, but for some reason his body didn't move at all. He was sitting so still it began to scare Felix. He was about to nudge Jisung's arm again when his movement stopped as he saw tears dripping down the squirrel boy's face.

Jisung never cried.

The latter wasn't reacting to any of Felix's attempts to gain his attention, he just kept staring right in front of him with a straight face while the tears flowing out of his eyes in silence made a puddle on his notebook.

The blonde couldn't help but think about what he had done wrong. Why was his best friend crying? Why was he not even looking at him? Acknowledging his presence like he always did?

Felix didn't know what to do or how to act for the remaining time of the lesson as Jisung hadn't shown a single reaction other than crying in silence.

Only when the bell rang for the first time that day, the blue haired boy made a sniffing sound as he packed his stuff, not even bothering to wipe the tears.

"Jisung?" Felix's voice was a soft whisper as he tried to grab his best friend's wrist, but the boy just walked out of the classroom and to Felix's surprise, Chan quickly followed after him.

Beyond being confused at what just happened and a small sting of jealousy, the blonde wasted no second to run after them, curious but also sad at why they were ignoring him.

When he turned the corner, his heart dropped immediately at the sight he was witnessing; Jisung was hugging the life out of Chan while crying his eyes out. The latter also seemed to have no problem with comforting the younger as he rubbed softly over his back and head.

Felix just stood there, feeling betrayed, alone and small. He knew it was wrong of him to feel jealous about something so out of context. I mean, there was probably a reason why his best friend was hugging his crush while crying his eyes out even though they still weren't on very good terms, wasn't there? But still, the freckled boy couldn't feel but left out and betrayed. Was he not good at comforting Jisung? Did he not trust him? The blonde started to question his years of friendship with the blue haired.

After standing in the hallway, what felt like hours, Felix turned around and started running towards the exit, not caring about the classes he had yet to attempt today.

The next morning the blonde decided to ask Jisung about what was going on yesterday, but when the squirrel boy wasn't at school, Felix began to get worried yet slightly suspicious.

He grabbed his phone out of his pocket and dialed his best friend's number, and within a few seconds a voice sounded on the other side.

"H-hello?" Felix was confused at why Jisung was still crying, but worry soon took over. "Ji, what is going on? Why are you not at school and why are you crying?" It seemed like this triggered something in the boy because he only started to cry harder.

"Minho i-i-is in the h-hospital!"

Felix slammed his hand against his mouth in shock while he hurried out of the classroom. "What, how, what happened?!" "I'm on my way!" The blonde ran out of the school not even knowing which way to go as he stayed on the phone with Jisung.

"What happened?" Felix asked again, panting already since he barely had condition. "I-I'll tell you w-when you're here" "I'm scared" Jisung's voice turned into a whisper at his last words, but the freckled boy still heard them. 'I'll be right there, hang on" The latter ran home as fast as he could and rode on his bike to the hospital.

When he found Minho's room, he stopped before entering when muffled cries could be heard outside the door. Felix softly knocked and soon found himself staring at Jisung who was crying in his boyfriend's arm and Chan sitting on a chair next to him.

What the fuck was going on?
