Dragon Ball Super: Exodus (Draft Chapters 4-6)

CHAPTER FOUR: WE HAVE SOME KACHIN UP TO DO

"Dad's Dad is ALIVE?! I HAVE ANOTHER GRANDFATHER?!" exclaims Goten.

"I can't believe it. The first rogue Saiyan we find in a while & it's our own grandfather..." says Gohan as he covers his mouth, closes his eyes.

"Good thing you weren't there for Broly."remarked Bulma.

Gohan tried to stop himself from sobbing but even then, he still ends up shedding several tears. Bulma smiles & sheds some tears at this wholesome moment. Even Hedo rubs his eyes a bit, shedding a tear. Gamma looks at him in complete confusion.

"Why are you crying, master? Weren't you just kidnapped, 15 minutes ago?" asks Gamma 1

"Yes but wholesome moments like this are rare, my dear, Gamma 1. Even Heroes cry too." explains Dr. Hedo as he rubs his eyes once more & pulls out a water bottle to drink. Goku brings Bardock over to the group he introduces Bardock to Gohan & Goten.

"Gohan, I'd like you to meet your grandfather, Bardock." said Goku

Gohan stops weeping & then, extends his hand out to shake hands. Bardock slowly shakes his hand, with a cringe.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you. It'd be cool to get to know you & whatever else is in store." said Gohan.

"Trust me kid. You'll find out soon enough." replied Bardock.

Bardock lets go of Gohan's hand & walks with Goku over to Goten.

"And this is my youngest son, Goten." Goku introduces.

Bardock extends his hand out to Goten, Goten shakes Bardock's hand nervously as he finally met his Saiyan Grandfather.

"I didn't think you existed. I'm glad you're here & not some bloodthirsty warrior.", said Goten.

"Well I did just almost hurt your friend for stealing my walking stick." says Bardock as he looks at Hedo, "No offense but I'm protective of my shit."

Goku walks over to Bulma & Trunks.

"And hi, Mr. Bardock. I'm Bulma!" said Bulma

"Lemme guess... you're Kakarot's wife." said Bardock.

Goku, Bulma, & Trunks have a dumbfounded look as their jaws drop with cringe & they fall over in a hilarious faint. Hedo & Gamma laugh at them.

"Was it something I said?" Bardock answered.

Bulma gets back up in a daze & replies, "No. I'm Vegeta's wife. You know, your Saiyan Prince?"

"Oh. Vegeta's still alive?" asked Bardock.

"Yep. And he's got two kids as well. And this is our son, Trunks." answered Bulma.

"Hey, Bardock, right?" said Trunks in a nervous manner.

"What's up, kid. You really do look like your father minus that blueish purple hair." replies Bardock, "I'm just surprised he's made it out, especially after dealing with Frieza."

"Yeah. He's definitely more than alive. Dad's kinda a bit grumpy as of lately but he's flourishing right now." replied Trunks.

"I mean, of course he's flourishing. He was with Raditz. Goku's brother always had a knack for survival. I guess he's also around too?" said Bardock.

Silence covers the room. Bardock looks puzzled while Goku sighs. He has to tell him the bad news about his brother. And he knows Bardock is not going to take the news. He takes several deep breaths in preparation.
