Dragon Ball Super: Exodus (Draft Chapters 20-23)

CHAPTER 20: LEGION'D FROM SOCIETY

Trunks is sprinting through red-lighted hallways in Capsule Corps, barreling through Saiyan employees whom started to realize their insatiable hunger or new strength. He's heading straight for one room in mind: Bulla's. He sprints past a puzzled Mai, Shu, & Pilaf who stare at Mai's new tail.

"Trunks!? What the hell? HELP!" yelled Mai.

"GET TO MOM & HEDO NOW, MAI!" screamed a sprinting Trunks.

Mai looked horrified as she never heard him scream like that. In fact, the last time she heard Trunks scream wasn't her Trunks but the Future Trunks. She then looked at Pilaf & Shu as she patted them authoritatively.

"You heard Trunks. We gotta find them." yelled Mai.

"I'll just track her phone signal with this handy device here.!" said Shu.

Shu whips out a blackberry-looking device as he gets a ping on Bulma's phone.

"Kinda creepy you have that Shu." said Pilaf.

"You're the one who invented it, boss!" yelled Shu.

Pilaf's face gets red as he smacks Shu in the back of the head.

"Knock it off guys. Let's go!" ordered Mai.

Back to Trunks' sprint, he makes the break for Bulla's room & busts open the door. He finds Dr. Briefs & his wife attending to Bulla, ignoring their tails completely.

"Grandpa, Grandma. We gotta go. Something's coming & I don't want us to be here when it shows up." said Trunks.

"Say no more my dear boy, Trunks! Take Bulla! We'll be right behind you." said Dr. Briefs.

"Good. If I don't see you, stay safe, stay hidden." said Trunks.

He hugs them quickly & then pats Bulls who's holding a stuffed dinosaur toy.

"Hey, sis. Mommy wants us to go to the beach today but she wants us to go really fast. Remember how you wanted to piggyback, Daddy?", asked Trunks.

"Piggyback? Yes! Can we piggyback Trunks?" exclaimed Bulla.

"Sure, sis. Just hold on." replied Trunks.

He sprints for the outdoor patio of Capsule Corps as he zips along through. He makes it to the outdoors while Bulma & gang are waiting by the seaside railing. It's a cloudy atmosphere as Trunks gives Bulla to Bulma as she hugs her daughter while she naively embraces herself being carried. Then, Bulma throws her capsule into he ground. The smoke appears to reveal her large, spherical ship as everyone rushes to climb aboard but Gamma & Trunks.

"Gamma. I need you to watch over them. I need to find Goten." said Trunks.

"I'll go with you." said Gamma.

"No. They can't sense your energy. They'll find mine if I'm not careful." said Trunks.

"Right. We're headed for my cousin 17's archipelago. Just find him." said Gamma.

Trunks looked over to Bulla, Bulma, & Mai as they stare away while the engines start.

"Mom, Mai. If I don't see you, wish me back first." yelled Trunks.

Trunks flies off as he bursts through the air while Bulma's ship & Gamma hover over the city watching small ki blasts & fires rain across the town. They both fly off in their separate directions as Trunks heads to the epicenter of attention, Satan City.

In some wasteland desert by a sunset, there is a villager by a riverside oasis, cleaning his clothing within those very waters. He is an older man, wearing a turban, as he soaps away the stains of his silk shirts. He then hears rustling dirt & then, a knife being unsheathed. He turns around & sees a tall man in a pink gi, equipped with a robotic helmet & graying hair; Tao Pai Pai.
