Ella Hawthorn is from a very wealthy french family with a high status with her father being the leader of the French mafia. When Ella was 4 she went with her father to Birmingham and met the Shelby's, Ella immediately caught the 13 year old James who though he saw an angel.
With the visits and stays with the Shelby's Ella got very close with them especially the twins and John, when Ella turned 16 James proposed to her with her fathers blessing and they got married right before James went to war.
When they came back from war they were not the same but Ella brought there old self out when she is with them with her memorising warm present. Ella is known as the angel of Birmingham with her kindness and memorising looks which gets a lot of attention from men that makes James furious, everyone knowns how possessive and how much James Shelby loves his little wife.
