Some might call Warren a bit of an adrenaline junkie, but even she wasn't thrilled about diving straight at an out of control helicopter. If their Pegasus had been any less of a fancy flier, they would've been chopped to confetti.

Warren could hear Rachel screaming inside. For some reason, she hadn't fallen asleep, but she could see the pilot slumped over the controls, pitching back and forth as the helicopter wobbled toward the side of an office building.

"Ideas?" Percy asked Warren.

"You're going to have to take the Pegasus and get Rachel out," she said.

"What are you going to do?"

In response, she said, "Hyah!" and their steed went into a nosedive.

"Duck!" Warren yelled.

They passed so close to the rotors she felt the force of the blades ripping at her hair. They zipped along the side of the helicopter, and Warren grabbed the door.

That's when things went wrong. The Pegasi's wing slammed against the helicopter. He plummeted straight down with Percy on his back, leaving Warren dangling from the side of the aircraft.

As Percy spiraled, he caught a glimpse of Rachel pulling Warren inside the copter.

"Hey Red," Warren called breathlessly. "How's it hanging?"

"Sideways!" Rachel shrieked. "The pilot just collapsed, he wont wake up!"

"Yeah," Warren frowned, trying to get her bearings in the careening helicopter. "Morpheus tends to do that to mortals."

"Super," Rachel groaned, tugging her hands through her curls. "We're going to die."

Warren lurched forward and gripped the unconscious pilot by the shoulders. "Excuse me, just gonna..." she yanked as hard as she could. He barely budged. "Oh for the love of-" she huffed, slinging the man out of the control seat. The helicopter pitched violently into a tailspin.

Rachel's eyes widened as Warren climbed into the pilot's seat. "Do you know how to fly this thing?!"

"Nope!" Warren said, taking the controls in her hands. "But it can't be too much harder than GTA."

"Oh, Jesus Christ." Rachel held on for dear life.

Warren stared at the button and joysticks. "Uh..." She picked one and said a prayer.

From the ground, Percy stared on in horror. The helicopter was only a few seconds away from slamming into the side of the building. Then miraculously the helicopter righted itself. It spun in a circle and hovered. Very slowly, it began to descend. It seemed to take forever, but finally the helicopter thudded to a landing in the middle of Fifth Avenue.

He looked through the windshield and couldn't believe what he was seeing. Warren was at the controls. He ran forward as the rotors spun to a stop.

Rachel opened the side door and dragged out the sleeping pilot. She was still dressed like she was on vacation, in beach shorts, a T-shirt, and sandals. Her hair was tangled and her face was green from the helicopter ride.
