„Do you wanna talk about it?" Riki asked me. I shrugged and looked at the wall.
„Tell me, I'll stay here and listen to you" I hesitated but then told him what was going on, I trusted him. „My mother is in the hospital, her disease which she got rid of 2 years ago is back. She needs a big surgery, but I don't know if she'll survive it. Her condition is bad and I don't know how much longer I'll have the opportunity to talk to her, so..."
„So what?" Riki asked
„I'm flying back to Australia with Jake, Jake's mom sent us the tickets" I said and looked at the floor. Riki didn't say anything and pulled me into a hug. „Does that mean you and Jake are gone for a while?"
„Mhm but you can come with us, I'm sure my mother would be very happy to meet you in case... she... doesn't survive. It would also help me if you were there just in case something happened."
„If you want me to come with you, I'll let the entertainment know, I'll come with you." Riki said in a calm voice. „I'm always by your side, no matter what"
„Thank you" I hugged him tightly and realized that tears formed in my eyes.
„It's okey to cry Aimi, if you don't want to cry alone, I'll cry with you," he said.
„do you need anything? snacks? Oh! How about we watch a movie? so that you can get a clear head" he suggested and I nodded.
„What do you want to watch?" he asked me. I smiled briefly and pointed to my shelf with all the barbie movies.
„Okey okey just because it's you" he said and took my favorite film out of the shelf. In the end it became a barbie marathon and we wached all the movies
„Aimi I have to go to work, if something happens call me or write me I'll drop everything and come home right away okey?"
I nodded and hugged him tightly.
„See ya later watch out and don't overwork yourself" I said „I won't Bye byeee Aishiteruuuu" He said goodbye and then left the house with the others. I took my diary and opened it

Dear diary
Unfortunately I didn't get good news today. My mother needs surgery and I don't know if my aunt can afford it. Me and jake are of course going to Australia to help. We also put some money in the register to pay for the surgery. I hope this time it's the last one. I remember back when I lived with jake in Australia. Me and Jake were home alone quite often. Jake's father worked 24/7 or was at parties. Jake's mother was also rarely home, and my mother she was always in hospitals either working or as a patient herself. She has had many surgeries but none have helped so fa. I don't know but I have a feeling my family has been banished to death. My father died in a car accident, my mother spent her life in hospitals. My sister also died, my cousin nina has a heart disease. i'm am not exactly the healthiest eighter. Jake and I have been to many therapists. Regardless of school social worker, and more therapist, we even went to psychologists. once our neighbor informed the youth welfare office because he noticed that we were alone so often. But I already told you that. I don't know what I would do without you. I used to have nobody to talk to, so I told you everything. I still remember when maxine gave me you for my birthday, she said that I would need you when she was gone. Did she already know that she would die? After her death I started not to trust anyone anymore. I didn't talk to anyone. I was closed up. Thank you, thank you for helping me through all these years. I could share my secrets with you. Some say you're just a diary. But for me you are my best friend. You were there when I had nobody. And i thank you very much. But I think it's time for a change. It's time to forget the past it's time to restart. I think I've finally found my home. I want to stay here. with Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Jake, Sunoo, Jungwon, Riki and Andrea. These people showed me what it means to trust someone. And this is exactly where I want to stay. Here I have a home and a family that loves me the way I am. thank you diary I'm happy to end this story with you. And to start a new one <3
