12- The Cheerios

it was finally friday, the day chaewon had been waiting for the whole week. friday was just like being in the heavens. It was the day before you get a 2-day break from school. chaewon removed her backpack from her back, while one strap was still on her shoulder. she started shoving everything in her locker when someone wrapped their hands behind her waist. at first, she thought it was jaemin, but then realized it was aana.

"hey, wonie" sana said, her head on chaewon's shoulder, "you never told me why you were so mad yesterday," sana said pouting. before chaewon could say anything else jinyoung joined.

"chaewon was mad yesterday?" he asked worriedly.

"yes for whatever reason." sana's head was still on chaewon's shoulder.

jinyoung looked at chaewon, "It was jaemin wasn't it." chaewon felt her cheeks heat up, she didn't know how to feel. if he knew that jaemin was the one who got her mad, she knew that the roof would get on fire or even the school would burn down.

"what n-no he di-" chaewon had difficulty finding the words she wanted to say. it didn't help that jinyoung was there just waiting for an answer. but thanks to the lord jaemin walked up to the trio. the actual time chaewon wanted jaemin to be with her.

"hey, strawberry" jaemin said kissing chaewon on the forehead and bringing her closer to him by putting his arms on her waist.

jinyoung glared at the two being all lovey-dovey, and honestly, he hated it. he hated everything about their relationship. he didn't want chaewon to be with jaemin, especially when he could just break her heart with one snap, jinyoung scoffed to himself.

chaewon gulped, she could not stand to watch the two stare down at each other like it was their last day. honestly, jinyoung was wishing for a death wish.

chaewon took jaemins arms, laughing nervously "haha...were just going to go..." chaewon started to practically demand Jaemin to walk with her away from jinyoung and sana.

"i'm so done with that boy" jaemin said icily, chaewon patted Jaemins back for support.

jaemin told chaewon to wait by the water fountain while he puts her books away. chaewon was playing with her fingers averting her eyes to the hallway filled with people. she would usually avert her eyes to the floor here and there. while chaewon was casually staring at the floor, dazing out she saw shadows stand in front of her. chaewon looked up and saw two cheerios with their arms crossed.

"hello, " one of the cheerios said with a smile that was obviously fake, chaewon recognized the first girl as the girl who had that strong gum in her mouth. wow, just great.

chaewon gave the girls a faintly, yet awkward smile, "and you are?" chaewon asked giving them blank stares. chaewon's voice sounded bland.

"I'm yujin and this is harin, " the gum girl had said pointing at the girl next to her. chaewon just took one glance at the girl and nodded unfazed.

"we're here to ask you about jaemin," the girl said, "I see that you guys seem...close" yujin said quite hesitatingly.

chaewon signaled the girls to continue on speaking, "we'll we just want to ask if it's fake- you know considering how he got with you once daeun had just broken up with him." harin said glaring at the girl and giving a sly smirk.

chaewon rolled her eyes. The typical cheerios asks these questions. she just didn't get, how they ask about other people's relationships instead of focusing on their own. how can they fit in those tight uniforms looking like they're about to explode any minute now? their boobs looked like they were squeezing in there barely alive, it looked like their cells have cut off, which might have actually happened. if Chaewon were to get a needle and poke it, I bet it would explode with a loud pop. and don't get her started with their skirts, how can someone be so comfortable walking in a short skirt?

chaewon scoffed, "and why are you questioning my relationship with jaemin?"

yujin took two steps toward chaewon, dangerously close to her, "let's just cut to the chase, we know jaemin is using you to get back with daeun. he just wants to look like he doesn't have any feelings for her so she can start running back to him, right harin?"

harin followed behind yujin, "yup, who would want to be with someone like you? i mean just look at you. there's no way he actually likes you." harin scoffed making every word clear so chaewon could hear.

chaewon felt someone wrap there's arms around her shoulder, she looked up and saw that it was jaemin. the girl then averted her eyes back on the floor. "hey spooky spice" jaemin said grinning at the girl.

"oh, look who it is jaemin" yujin started plastering a smile on her face, "we came to tell your girlfriend  how lucky she is to be with you." yujin said ickyily at the word girlfriend.

"I know she is, isn't that right?" jaemin said looking down at the girl. chaewon looked up at the boy with a smile and nodded. show time.

"oh well in that case we have to go to cheerleading practice." harin said, yujin and her both left at the same pace. the annoying sound of their heels stomping on the ground as they walk.
