Seungmin sat on the floor of his apartment, surrounded by crumpled paper and discarded pens. He had been trying to come up with a new song for hours, but nothing seemed to flow right. It was frustrating, to say the least.

Hyunjin sat beside him, his own guitar in hand as he strummed a few chords. "Whenever you feel happy, fold a paper star," he said suddenly, catching Seungmin off guard.

Seungmin looked up at him, confused. "What? Why?"

Hyunjin shrugged. "You'll see how many things you can be happy about."

Seungmin raised an eyebrow. "Babe, I don't think that's going to work."

Hyunjin just smiled. "Doesn't hurt to try."

Seungmin sighed and took a piece of paper from the pile in front of him. He folded it into a star and placed it on his desk. It was a small thing, but it did make him feel a little bit better.

The next day, Seungmin woke up to the sound of rain tapping against his window. He groaned and rolled over, not looking forward to the walk to his tutoring job in the downpour.

But as he got dressed, he saw the paper star from the night before on his desk. He remembered Hyunjin's words and decided to fold another one. And then another. And another.

By the time he left for work, he had a handful of paper stars in his pocket. They didn't make the rain go away, but they did make him feel a little bit happier.

As the days went on, Seungmin found himself folding more and more paper stars. Whenever something good happened - a compliment from a student, a good meal, a sunny day - he folded a star and added it to his collection.

He didn't think much of it at first, but as the stars piled up, he started to realize how many things he had to be grateful for. And as he thought about it more, he couldn't help but think about Hyunjin and how much he had helped him.

One evening, Seungmin walked into the music studio where Hyunjin was waiting for him. "Hey," he said, holding out a handful of paper stars. "Thanks for this."

Hyunjin looked at the stars and smiled. "You're welcome."

Seungmin took a deep breath. "And... thanks for everything else too. You've made me a lot happier than I was before."

Hyunjin's smile grew wider. "I'm glad. And you know, we could always fold paper stars together."

Seungmin felt a warmth in his chest as he looked at Hyunjin's kind eyes. "I'd like that," he said, feeling like the stars had led him to something special.

Together, they spent the rest of the evening folding paper stars and talking about all the things that made them happy. And as they left the studio, hand in hand, Seungmin realized that maybe the smallest things could lead to the biggest happiness.

Seungmin sat on the couch in Hyunjin's apartment, watching as he cooked dinner. It had been a few months since they started folding paper stars together, and it had become a routine for them. Seungmin would bring over his collection of stars, and they would add to it, talking about their day as they worked.

Hyunjin turned around, holding a pot of boiling pasta. "Can you grab the sauce from the fridge?" he asked, gesturing towards the fridge.

Seungmin nodded and stood up, walking over to the fridge. As he opened the door, he noticed a new paper star hanging on the handle. It was folded neatly, with small creases and a vibrant blue color.

He took it off the handle and held it up. "Hey, did you fold this?" he called out.

Hyunjin turned around, a smile on his face. "Yeah, I did. I thought you might like it."

Seungmin felt a flutter in his chest as he looked at the star. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to him. "Thank you," he said, his voice soft.

Hyunjin walked over to him and took the star from his hand. "Whenever you feel happy, fold a paper star," he said, repeating the words he had said months ago. "Even for the smallest things."

Seungmin looked at him, his heart swelling with emotion. "You make me happy," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Hyunjin's smile grew wider as he leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Seungmin's lips. "You make me happy too," he said, his voice low and tender.

As they pulled away, Seungmin felt a warmth spread throughout his body. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, one that made him feel content and happy.

They sat down to eat dinner, talking and laughing as they enjoyed the meal they had made together. And as they cleaned up, Seungmin couldn't help but think about how grateful he was for the paper stars that had brought them together and the happiness they had brought into his life.

As they said their goodbyes for the night, Seungmin folded a paper star and handed it to Hyunjin. "For you," he said, smiling.

Hyunjin took the star, his eyes shining with appreciation. "Thank you," he said, tucking it into his pocket. "Whenever you feel happy, fold a paper star," he repeated. "Even for the smallest things."

Seungmin nodded, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him. He knew that there would be ups and downs in life, but as long as he had Hyunjin and their paper stars, he knew that he could find happiness in even the smallest of moments.
