Seungmin couldn't believe it. The day he had been dreading had finally arrived. He had tried everything to keep Hyunjin's iconic mullet, but it was no use. The company had decided it was time for a change and the stylists were waiting for them backstage with scissors in hand.
Seungmin's heart sank as he watched them snip away at the hair that he had come to love so much. It was a symbol of their love, something that made Hyunjin stand out from the crowd. But now it was gone, and Seungmin felt like a part of him had been taken away.
As they walked back to their dressing room, Seungmin couldn't help but stare at the back of Hyunjin's head. It looked so different without the mullet. He wondered if he would ever get used to it.
Hyunjin noticed Seungmin's sad expression and reached out to take his hand. "Hey, don't be sad. It's just hair. It'll grow back."
Seungmin shook his head. "It's not just hair. It was your trademark. Now you look like everyone else."
Hyunjin chuckled. "I'm still me, Seungmin. And besides, I think the new style suits me."
Seungmin couldn't argue with that. Hyunjin did look good with his new haircut. But it wasn't about that. It was about the fact that he had lost something that was special to him.
As they sat down in front of their mirrors, Seungmin pulled out a big ass scarf from his bag and draped it over Hyunjin's neck.
"What's this for?" Hyunjin asked, amused.
"As long as the hyullet stays, the hickies don't. And now that the hyullet is gone, goodluck to our stylists," Seungmin said, with a mischievous glint in his eye.
Hyunjin laughed. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"
Seungmin grinned. "But you love me anyway."
Hyunjin leaned in for a kiss. "Of course, I do."
As they got ready for their performance, Seungmin couldn't help but feel a little bit better. Even though the hyullet was gone, he still had Hyunjin by his side, and that was all that mattered.
They took to the stage, and as they performed, Seungmin forgot all about the mullet. He was too busy singing and dancing with the person he loved most in the world.
As they finished their set, Hyunjin turned to Seungmin and whispered, "You know, I think I'm starting to like this big ass scarf."
Seungmin grinned. "I knew you would."
Together, they walked off the stage, hand in hand, ready to face whatever challenges the future might bring. As long as they had each other, they knew they could get through anything.
As they walked out of the Music Bank, a group of fans rushed towards them, screaming and waving their light sticks. Seungmin braced himself for the chaos, but Hyunjin stepped forward with a smile and greeted the fans.
"Thank you for coming to our performance! Did you enjoy it?" Hyunjin asked, his voice carrying over the excited screams.
The fans erupted into cheers, shouting their love for the group and for Hyunjin in particular. Seungmin watched as Hyunjin's eyes sparkled with happiness, and he felt a surge of pride and affection for his boyfriend.
As they made their way through the crowd, Seungmin caught a glimpse of a sign that one of the fans was holding up. It read, "Hyullet or not, we love you Hyunjin!"
Seungmin couldn't help but smile at the sign, and he knew that the fans' love for Hyunjin was not based on his hair. It was his talent, his personality, and his love for STAYs that had won their hearts.
As they finally made it to their van, Seungmin leaned over and kissed Hyunjin on the cheek. "You were amazing today."
Hyunjin grinned. "So were you. We make a pretty good team, don't we?"
Seungmin nodded. "The best. And no matter what happens, we'll always have each other's backs."
Hyunjin's smile softened into a tender expression. "Always."
With that, they climbed into the van and drove off, ready to face whatever challenges the future might bring, together.
