Kahn smiled and waved at her when he made it on the last step of the stairs. Vanya returned his smile faintly.
KAHN
Si Kuya Vonn?
VANYA
Nasa library sa baba.
KAHN
Natanggap mo 'yong reviewers na binigay ko sa 'yo?
Vanya nodded.
VANYA
Yes. Thank you.
KAHN
Ginagamit mo?
VANYA
Yup.
Kahn smiled widely.
KAHN
Edi na-reach mo 'yong pink na stopper?
VANYA
Oo.
KAHN
Good. Payakap ako.

But she was cut off when Kahn pulled her in for a hug. Vanya swallowed hard. Her heart was beating so loud, she could almost feel it in her throat. A part of her wanted to push him away, because that's what she's supposed to be doing. But this could be the last time they could be this close. So instead, she blinked the tears budging at edge of her eyes, holding him closer.
