"Y/N, малышка, you need to settle down."
Natasha was currently trying her best to calm Y/N down, the little has been crying non stop for the past 20 minutes.

Ever since Bucky left for a mission, she's been moody all week. However she had something that helped her be in a good mood, her Bucky Bear. A bear that Bucky gave her when he first found out she was a little. He had Wanda make the bear for Y/N, it had dark brown fur like his hair, and a silver arm just like his.
It helped her stay calm whenever he was away.. but it's been missing for a day now, and with her young headspace, she couldn't help but be upset.

"I wan' dada!! I-I wan' dada!"
She chanted between hiccups, huge tears were rolling down her cheeks. Natasha sighed, she carried her in her nursery and set her down on the changing table. Y/N fussily kicked her legs to get Natasha away from her, but Natasha managed to keep calm. She quickly changed you out of your used diaper and managed to dress you up in a legless onesie.

She eased a pacifier in Y/N's mouth, which she accepted, but it didn't stop her cries.

These intense feelings weren't uncommon for Y/N. Even when she was big, it was hard for her to keep complete calm when Bucky was gone. Her heart couldn't help but feel feelings of worry and wistfulness.
All she wanted was for Bucky to hold her in his arms and tell her that he was going to be okay..and the other half of her wanted him to come back alive.

She knew the dangers of him going out on missions even if she was small. Hydra could find him again and potentially turn him into the winter soldier. He promised Y/N every time that he would come back in one piece, but her mind couldn't help but race with different thoughts. Without her caregiver and bear to keep Y/N at bay, it seemed like almost nothing could calm her down.
Natasha lifted Y/N into her strong arms, her reddish hair was covering Y/N's vision from seeing anything in her path.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N. You miss him a lot, hm?"
She could feel Y/N nod in her shoulder.

"It's going to be okay. He's going to come back tomorrow, remember? You'll be able to cuddle with him all day tomorrow."
She kissed Y/N's cheek, and started to walk to the crib in her nursery. She carefully rested Y/N in there and pulled up the covers, "Try and get some sleep, малыш. I'll be here when you need me."

"N-no.. I wan' bwear.. I wan mwy 'ucky bear, Nana."
She whined behind her pacifier, Natasha frowned. She's been trying to find it all day for Y/N but to no avail. For all she knew, it could be anywhere.

"I know baby, I know. Nana is going to try and find him soon. Maybe by the time you wake up, someone will be here to see you, принцесса."

A small smile creeped behind Y/N's pacifier, her tears were finally starting to disappear.
Natasha leaned in for one final kiss on the cheek, "Goodnight, малышка. I'll see you in the morning."

Natasha turned off the lights in the room, small glow in the dark lights started to shine through the room.
She turned on the mobile above the crib as one last final touch, a calming lullaby started to play.
She walked towards the door and walked out of the room, she closed the door a small bit so that there was only a slight crack.

"Jarvis?"

"Yes, Ms Romanoff?"

"I need you to do me a favor and try to find Y/N's bear, can you possibly.. scan the place?"
