Alexandria "Alex" Katherine Mariana Louise Christoper was an American college student who went missing on a Fourth of July trip with her girlfriend and friends.
Alex was born on January 17th, 1982 in Boston, Massachusetts, the fourth of eight children. She moved around a lot as a child, her family eventually settling in Charleston, South Carolina when Alex was eleven years old.
When Alex was sixteen, she decided to tell her parents that she was a lesbian and soon thereafter, they kicked her out and she moved in with her best friend's family, Maryann Williams. A year later, Maryann and Alex would start dating. Another year later, both would begin attending the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Alex as a nursing student and Maryann as a computer science student.
Alex and Maryann would form a group with two others; Viviana Arlington and Romeo Pines, both nursing students. Katherine "Kate" Carter and Caleb Nunez, both computer science students. For the Fourth of July 2002, they decided to head down to Virginia Beach, Virginia. They arrived on July 2nd and everything was normal. They checked into their hotel and they spent the next four days having fun, living life.
On the morning of July 6th, 2002, at around six in the morning, both Alex and Romeo were awake while Maryann, Viviana, Kate and Caleb were still asleep. Romeo says that the two ate breakfast and talked a little bit and then Alex said she was gonna go for a walk. Alex asked Romeo if he wanted to come with her, but he opted to stay back in their hotel.
So Alex left to go on her walk and an hour passed by and she hadn't come back. And another hour. It was around this time that the rest of the group woke up and asked where Alex was. Romeo just said she had gone out on a walk.
Another couple of hours passed and the group began getting worried. They called her nokia phone but never got a response so, when she hadn't returned that night, they filed a police report, but nothing came of it. They didn't find Alex anyway.
And then suddenly, ten years had passed and it's October 2012. Romeo and Vivana now both work at the UVA University Hospital, Kate works at a daycare center in Detroit, Michigan and Maryann as a Computer Science teacher in Mary's Field High School in Mary's Field, Virginia. And all four receive a call.
Alex's body was found in the basement of a known sexual predator, Harrison John, dead. She had been dead for ten years, but Harrison had been preserving her body. Harrison was arrested and Alex was finally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
