Anita Elizabeth Casper was the youngest child in the affluent Casper family, a family of British socialites.
Anita was born in the small town of Hamingway, in the English countryside. Her family was old money. She had two older sisters, who were five and six at the time of her birth. Hannah Marie Casper and Janie Anne Casper.
Anita lived in luxury all her life, which would end on January 18th, 1984. Through circumstances that remain unclear, Susan Rosie Casper, her mother, accidentally killed Anita. It is believed to have been asphyxiation. Susan, not wanting her family, or anyone for that matter, to find out, buried Anita deep into the Casper property. That night, she'd file a missing person's report, crying that her daughter was missing, she disappeared from her playhouse, she couldn't find her.
Of course, nothing came of this.
Four years later, in 1988, Anita was 'found'. French serial killer and conwoman, Michelle Elisabeth Leroux, had looked into missing girls in the UK and found she bore a striking resemblance to Anita, so she went to London and said that she was Anita Casper and had been kidnapped and brought to France. The family was contacted and they took Michelle home with them, each and every one of them, minus Susan of course, believing them to be their dear Anita.
After seven months of Michelle living there, Susan cracked. She went into Michelle's room, demanding to know who the hell she was. When Michelle played dumb, Susan said that the real Anita was dead, so Michelle told her who she was. Michelle demanded hush money. Susan paid.
After living with the Casper family for a year, and extorting a shit ton of money from Susan, on March 31st, 1989, she killed everyone in the family. From Susan and her husband, John, to their teenage daughters. She then disappeared into the woods. Police were called the next morning, when the family's bodies were discovered by a domestic servant. Anita was nowhere to be found.
The police believed that the person who had initially kidnapped Anita had found out where she was and went to take her back.
Five years later, in 1994, upon the death of Michelle Leroux, the police were given her diary, which they translated into English, because it had originally been written in French. In this, they discovered what had happened to Anita.
After this, British police dug up the Casper property, finding Anita's highly decayed body. She was given a proper burial and was buried with her parents and siblings in the Casper Family Cemetery.
