As of February 3rd, 2023, thirty-two years, six months, and twelve days after her discovery, the Alpine Prostitute has been officially identified as missing child, Marilyn Josephine Griffins.

Marilyn was born to Laura and Henry Griffins, the sixth child of ten children on a farm in Woodstock, Vermont. From all accounts, she was a lively child, always happy to help with everything and anything, though she often made it worse, as said by her older brother, Elijah.

Marilyn disappeared from the Griffins Farm on July 9th, 1981, when she was only six years old. None of the family is sure how it happened, as she vanished in the middle of the night. It is, of course, firmly believed that she was kidnapped. There were reported sightings of Marilyn between 1981 and 1991, all through North America. The most popular theory is that she was being trafficked.

Laura Griffins died in 1991 after a battle with breast cancer and Henry Griffins died in 2011, due to a heart attack. The remaining Griffins siblings never gave up on searching for their sister.

Marilyn's headstone has yet to be updated, though it seems likely that she will be exhumed and buried in the Griffins family cemetery in Woodstock.

There are no leads as to who her killer is, unfortunately.

May Marilyn Josephine Griffins rest in peace.
