This world has no concept of Alchemy.

Alchemy is just ideal chemistry. Well, sort of.

The two disciplines are distinct, as seen by the differences in their underlying concepts. It may be observed in how individuals approach each phrase as well as the era in which they were adopted. However, both techniques aimed to comprehend the mysteries of the universe and the transformation of basic matter into something comprehensible.

It is a form of art that involves intricate experiments to get a deep understanding of the natural order.

The concept of chemistry can be simply defined as the behavior of matter and the reason why it behaves in that way. Atoms, although may differ in each kind, have the same basic building blocks. If one arranges it to become a certain element and the combination of these elements would become something more pronounce and comprehensible.

It simply explains that all matter can be arranged to form compositions. The number of units that were arranged will create its identity and the way it was arranged will form a composition. Like how solid, liquid, and gas are compared—solid matter has packed atoms, the liquids have more relaxed arrangements, and gases are made up of frenzied atom, constantly in motion.

The key to transmuting matter lies in the arrangement of its atoms. By separating the tightly packed atoms of a solid, it can be transformed into a liquid. Conversely, by enclosing free atoms in a tight area, a gas can become a solid. The arrangement of atoms defines the characteristics of a material.

Lead and gold, seemingly worlds apart, share the same basic atoms. However, they differ in their arrangement. If one could rearrange the atoms of lead to match those of gold, then lead would become gold. This is the essence of Alchemy, the pursuit of transforming one substance into another.

But Alchemy is not just about creating gold from lead. There are two other goals of Alchemy: the creation of the elixir of life and the universal solvent, known as the alkahest. These pursuits expand the scope of Alchemy beyond mere material transformation to affect human life itself.

Alchemy promises to unlock the secrets of the universe and transform our understanding of the world. Its allure persists to this day, a testament to the enduring power of its transformative promise.

Jin Wei would often associate Alchemy with a jigsaw puzzle or Lego blocks.

If the arrangement of atoms defines the unique identity of a material, then what other secrets lie hidden in the vast and uncharted landscape of matter? Could this uncover the arrangement of life-giving elixirs and unlock the key to immortality?

Consider a simple example - a flower. Its essence lies not in its individual petals or stem, but in the delicate arrangement of each of its parts. When assembled in accordance with the flower formation, its identity is revealed as a thing of beauty, a symbol of nature's grace and complexity.

If one can decipher the hidden arrangements of the universe, then one may be able to tap into the secrets of life itself. The elusive elixir of immortality may be one such secret. By discovering its arrangement, we could potentially create a medicine that would grant humans everlasting life, an unimaginable gift that has captured the human imagination for centuries.

Jin Wei had yet to stumble upon the hidden puzzle, and to be honest, he had no desire to solve it. After all, whatever was concealed must have been done so for a reason. Jin Wei's sole focus was on his true passion: the creation of medicine.

Though he may not possess the power of a magician, he was a master of alchemy. Unlike magic, which relied on mystical energies and otherworldly forces, alchemy only required basic materials and a deep understanding of its principles. With his extensive knowledge of the subject, Jin Wei was able to craft medicines of the highest quality.
