"Ghora! Ghora! C'mon we are going to be late!" A familiar voice yelled in my ear. I rub my eyes as I sit up in my bed. My little sister was pulling on my arm to get out of bed.
"Okay, okay I'm up!" I laugh at her. She giggles and rushes out of my room. I get dressed in my casual clothes and head downstairs. My family was all eating downstairs. Giggling and laughing. After breakfast we all head to my sister's star dancing performance. I used to star-dance once, but I quit.
My sister waves goodbye to us and runs towards the rest of her dance partners. My family and I found a seat and we waited patiently for my sister's performance.
After a while she and her fellow dance partners start making their way up to the stars. Their routine was perfect and flawless. The way they glide across the stars and hand onto them is stunning. After her performance we headed home.
Everything was perfect until it wasn't.

Muffled yelling rang in my ear causing me to wake up. I sit up in my bed and listen to the conversation.
"Don't bring the kids into this!" My father said
"You can't tell me what to do anymore! I am done with your bullshit!" yelled my mother.
I jolted up and ran out of my room. My brother was beside the staircases. He noticed me and put his finger to his mouth.
"What's going on tekra?" I whisper to my brother
"I don't know teta," He whispers back to me. We listen to the conversation more.
"I am leaving and if you send one of your boys after me I will set this house on fire!" My mother screamed.
"Please Venus, Don't do this!" My father yelled back. All we heard next was the front door open and slam. Our sister joined us,ran past the both of us, and ran down the stairs. My father crouched onto the floor holding his head and my sister ran to hug him. Me and my brother walk down the stairs and to our father.
.
After that things were never the same
.
My father brought me, my brother, and my sister to his work one day.
If only I hadn't gone with him.
If only I went with my mother.
"He took both me, my sister, and my brother hostage. He abused both me and my brother. He let my sister go, but she decided to stay by his side. The reason he let her go was because my sister was born from an affair, my father spent time with another woman from another planet. He always favored my sister. He gave my sister magical powers he stripped of other citizens.
Me and my brother came up with a plan to escape, but only one of us could. I told him that I would stay behind and he agreed.
When time came to initiate the plan my brother locked himself in his cell and forced me to escape.
.
.
"Once I freed myself from the prison my father trapped me in. When I got outside it was abandoned. No one was crossing the streets nor driving down them. I walked for a bit when I found a pile of dead bodies rotting. Some of them were still alive and one of those people was the only friend I ever had. I tried to collect myself and fled to another planet. I stumbled across my sister's mother planet. I did things I'm not proud of there. Everyone there reminded me of my sister and it made me mad."
"What did you do, Kamari?"
"I killed them." "All of them."
