Chapter XXI: Magneto Dupe

Back in the castle, Freya and Sage were looking for ways to get to Kamari. They had Spade distract the other two while they tried their best to contact Kamari. They met in the library, seeing if Kamari had a connection still to the easel that she used before. Sage began to speak gibberish as Freya patiently waited to see if anything would change. Spade eventually left Nixon and Lux and joined Freya and Sage.
Outside of the door Lux was pacing and Nixon was putting his ear on the door. Lux was pretty anxious since they were wondering if Kamari was safe and if she would find her way back to them. Lux then heard a rip and looked beside them. The painting of a fallen soldier started to liquify and a hand popped out. Lux was wide-eyed and did not believe what they were seeing. They were speechless but managed to slip out a sentence
"Nixon, please tell me you see that too."
They said with a horrified tone. Nixon was confused and looked over at Lux then saw Kamari slipping out of a painting. They both were speechless as Kamari dropped down from the painting and brushed her shirt off.
"Kamari?!" Both Lux and Nixon yelled. Spade, Sage, and Freya all heard this and exited the library. Kamari gave a small wave and a subtle smile. Freya, Lux, and Nixon all ran to her and hugged her.
"Oh my god Kamari we thought you were a goner." Nixon said.
"Yeah we had no clue how to get you back." Freya added. They all pulled away from her, but Lux had a puzzled look on their face.
"Why are you dressed like that?" They asked.
"Well I had to have a disguise in order to escape." Kamari calmly stated. Freya smirked, but before she could say anything Sage beat her to it.
"Well I do love a woman in uniform." Sage winked at Kamari. Freya turned to look at Sage with a death glare.
"Well thank you Sage." Kamari said, taking her cap off. Freya came behind her and said
"Well you must be starving, come eat and tell us everything." She said warmly to her. Kamari looked at her and nodded.

The next morning all of the actual three of them stared into the dark and snowy forests.  The flares flew and glistend the sky starting the next trial. This time the three of them stuck together and helped each other. They were about half way through the forest when The forest itself started to shift and change. The three heroes faced many challenges through the forest. Once they made it to the end Kamari, Nixon, and Lux's clothes were in tatters. Freya, Spade, and Sage were waiting in a small stone pavilion awaiting for their champions to arise and claim their titles. The three heroes slowly walked to meet their mentors and calmly sit with them. Nixon was the first to meet the pavilion and touched Spade's shoulders. Spade's head rolled off his body and to the floor. They realized their mentors were fakes. The three of them stood their ground awaiting for their mentors to press forward. The whole area around them was so silent you could hear the snow falling and the birds slowly chirping through the trees. Then they heard the wind break as three daggers aimed for their head came hurtling at them. Kamari quickly stepped in front of Lux and Nixon and put her hands in a stopping position creating a purplish arora around the daggers stopping them mid air. Once the three of them calmed their nerves Kamari dropped the daggers into the snow. The mentors walked out from the trees amused by Kamari, Nixon, and Lux's faces.
"Y'all look so stupid. I can't think that was too funny," Freya says, doing her best to hold back out bursts of laughs.
"YOU LITTLE FUCKING SHITS COULD HAVE KILLED US! I SHOULD BURY ALL OF YOU FOR THAT," Lux furiously screamed at the mentors, stepping in front of Kamari.

All right, this is the last pre-made chapter! I hope you enjoy the series as it continues! God this took a while for us to write, we started this project in December and now it is March! I will post some other things about the characters and all of that fun stuff as we are writing, I love you all! Peace out!
