Wally and I began lacing up our roller blades. I already had I pair of my own, and I let Wally borrow another pair of mine that were slightly bigger.

I quickly tied mine and patiently waited for Wally to do the same, when he was finished, he tried to stand and quickly fell back. I gracefully caught him right before me hit the ground dipping him below me with one of his legs in the air.

He blushed, embarrassed. I giggled and stood him back up, brushing off his shoulders. "You'll get used to it, Darling..." I said. He huffed, though smiled at me. "Y'know I only did this because I love you."

"I know." I teased. I took his hand and led him to the rink. It was practically empty, the only person there being the snack vendor who was taking a smoke break and reading a book.

Wally shook, still holding on to me. He wrapped his arm and hand around my waist and pulling me closer, scared he would fall. "Wally, you flirt." I smiled, pressing my cheek against his. "What can I say? Your the expert..." 

I pulled away from him, making Wally whimper. Though I still help his hands. "Alright. The first step of skating is that speed isn't everything. Skating isn't the same as running, so that means going slower means going faster." 

Wally stared at me a moment and smirked. I knew what he was thinking. "Wally!" I huffed. "Sorry! Sorry..." he hummed, obviously not sorry. I shook my head. "Anyway, balance is everything. Try it." I let go of his hands and he yelped, stumbling and shaking, flailing is arms until he fell into my arms. I looked up into my eyes and smiled his cat-like smile. "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" He sighed dreamily.

I couldn't help but smile. "Wally...be serious." Wally stood up again, holding both my hands and leaning against me. "I'm sorry my fairytale..." he said. Again, not sorry.

I firmly gripped Wally's hands and started slowly skating, he concentrated on my skates across the ground and copied my movements as best he could. Soon he actually started to keep up, even though me was still gripping on to me like a mushroom on a log. 

"There! You got it!" I chimed happily. Wally smiled. I slowly let go of his hands. This time he didn't yelp nor whimper, he still wobbled, but not as much. He actually could catch up with me skating normally. He definitely couldn't keep up at me at my full speed. Not even close. But it was a start.

"How did you get so good?" He asked, still a bit embarrassed that he was still struggling. I smiled, doing a small, graceful spin. "Practice, practice, practice. All my life. You'll get there." I said, skating up to his and giving him a peck on the forehead. Wally took his hand in mine again. "I'm already super handsome and smart and witty...I don't think skating on small cars will do anything to change that." 

"Alright then buddy, you can learn on your own then." I teased, gracefully skating away. "No! Wait! Don't leave me..." Wally whimpered. I turned around. "Then maybe you should appreciate when someone close to you tries to teach you new things." I cross my arms.

"I do..." Wally shakily skated up to me again and wrapped his arms around my waist. "But I want to get closer..." his voice turned deeper as he looked possessively into my eyes. "You're too much." I huff. He tightened his arms around me and smiled. "Pleasssseeeee...can we do this another day? I love you so much but I wanna go home..." he whined. I sighed, barely containing my smile.

"Fine. We can go home..." I lifted his chin with my finger. Which made him wildly blush. I held his hand and skated back to the bench. We unlaced our skates then walked out of the rink. Wally's arm around my waist and his head on my shoulder...
