Cole paces back and forth across the bedroom, his eyes wide. He knows he doesn't have to worry. Freya wants this—right?

Finally, the kitten he picked up from the shelter has settled down on the bed, right in the bit of morning sunlight seeping through the drapes. It's the cat Cole knew Freya would want: the moment he saw her posted on the shelter's instagram page, he knew he had to get her. While Cole has always been a cat person, he never had one growing up, which makes this one extra special. He strokes her head delicately and smiles as the kitten lets out a little purr of happiness.
