"Well it's definitely concerning," Professor Weasley told us. "Though as long as everyone on the list remains within the castle walls, I can't see anything bad being able to happen."

"You are looking for him, right?" Sebastian asked. "I can't stand this anymore- I can't stand having the people I care about be in danger."

I squeezed Sebastian's hand in mine and gave him a meaningful look.

"I assure you that there are several people on his case," she said. "Though the most concerning thing to me is how he managed to get the letters inside the castle in the first place. If any more letters arrive, I ask that you please turn them in to me as promptly as possible."

I guess that would have to be good enough for now.

After leaving her office, Sebastian led me to The Undercroft by a tight grip on my hand. Once we were inside, he finally let go. He looked at me for a moment before rapidly approaching me and wrapping me in a tight hug.

"Please don't think you have to do anything dangerous," he whispered. "I couldn't stand it if I lost you too."

"I won't," I told him.

"I need you to give me your word on that." he gripped his arms around me tighter.

"You have my word, Sebastian," I replied softly.

"Good," he sighed. "You are everything to me, and I don't know what I'd do without you. Every moment I spend apart from you burns me, and thinking about you putting yourself in danger on anyone else's behalf makes me ache in unimaginable ways." He raked his fingers through my hair as he whispered the sweet words into my ear.

"I'm here," I told him. "I'm not going anywhere- at least, not without you."

Sebastian held onto me for a while longer, until we heard someone coming. As expected, it was Ominis.

"I heard about the letter," Ominis said. "Professor Weasley called me into her office and told me."

"That means you aren't to go anywhere outside of the castle," Sebastian added.

"I know, I was told."

"I'm really sorry that this situation is affecting you now, as well," I apologized. "I really didn't intend for any of this to happen."

"I wouldn't think that to be the case," Ominis said. "Still, I hope the two of you aren't planning on doing anything rash. I'll be the voice of reason again if I have to, though I hope you both will heed my advice this time around."

Sebastian rolled his eyes. "We plan on lying low for the time being. Let him come out of the woodwork on his own."

"I really do hope that's the case," Ominis said.

The next few days were uneventful. Imelda was groveling about the fact that she wouldn't be allowed to go outside to fly on her broom at all, and wasn't sparing Sebastian and I at all with her unkind words. I'd expected as much from her, though. As for the others, they were mostly understanding. I was sitting in the great hall at the Gryffindor table chatting with Natty about an upcoming assignment when Sebastian approached me.

"Can I steal you away for a minute?" he said, looking between Natty and I.

"She is all yours," Natty said, motioning for me to leave with him.

I followed Sebastian out of the hall and down a few corridors. "Where are we going?" I asked him.

"You'll see when we get there," he replied.

"Acting coy now, are we?" I joked.

"Always," he smiled, snaking his arm around my waist. He led me down a bunch of halls and down to a lower floor in the castle.

"I wanted to speak with you about something, but I wanted it to be private," he told me.

"I'm all ears," I replied.

He leaned his tall frame against the wall and ran his fingers through his hair. "I don't know if this is completely appropriate to ask, but I'm going to anyway," he started in. "If everything is safe and right by winter break, I want you to come stay with me over the holidays."

I thought about his offer. sure, it wasn't exactly appropriate for an unmarried couple to stay with each other over night for extended periods of time, but then again, there were a lot of things Sebastian and I had done that weren't exactly appropriate for our age. "You don't have to if you don't want to," he said. "And that's only if it's safe to leave the cast;e in the first place by then."

It was well towards the end of November by now, so the holidays were definitely creeping up.

"I'd love to," I told him. "But that's only if everything is over by then. And I don't really want you going around telling anyone about it."

"I know, I wouldn't. It's just that I'd love some time alone with you, though I know that's not exactly an appropriate thing to ask for either," he chuckled. "Well I'm hoping something is done about that bastard soon enough so I can have my way with you in privacy."

"What do you mean by that?" I inquired.

"Well... I'd love to, well, explore you a little more, if you know what I mean. And school isn't really the best place to be doing that."

I could feel my face burning up, but Sebastian wrapped me in a hug, which I was glad for. I didn't need him to see that he's got me all worked up like this again. He pulled away from me and pressed a deep kiss against my lips and squeezed my body tight against his before parting from me. "I really love, you," he said, looking deep into my eyes. "I hope you know that."

"I do, Sebastian," I smiled. "And I love you too, more than I'm ever able to express, I'm afraid."

"I know it plenty," he replied before plopping a kiss on my forehead.
