Chapter 96 - Epilogue and Author's Notes

-Three years after Graduation

I set my box of personal belongings down on my new desk at the Auror's Office inside the Ministry of Magic. I ran my finger over the shiny new nameplate that sat on the dark oak surface.

"Y/n Sallow," someone said behind me. It was Sebastian, leaning up against the doorframe, with his eyes fixed on the nameplate my fingers rested on. "I still like saying it out loud. It's like a dream I never thought would come true." 

His tall frame was more filled out, and his face had somehow grown even more handsome with age. We'd only gotten married a month ago, after finishing our training at the academy. I gazed down at the wedding band on his ring finger, then down at mine; a slim and elegant band adorned with a beautiful emerald stone now sat flush against the ring Sebastian had given me all those years ago for my birthday. It was well-loved and worn after all this time, but it was still one of my favorite things he'd ever gifted me. 

"Finished setting up shop?" I asked him, walking across the room to where he stood. 

"More or less," he replied. "Just wanted to check out your office as well. Yours is bigger, those bastards."

I laughed and planted a quick kiss on his cheek before exiting the office with him, joining the other aurors for our morning briefing.
