"...café girl..?"

"Huh what did you say?" Jeonghan asked.

"N-nothing..."

Both of us turned towards the front in unison as we heard Mrs Hwang's voice.

"This is the second time being late during this month, right Haeyoon?"

"...no ma'am, it's the third time."

The voice of the girl was quiet yet nonchalant even though she could be seen panting visibly hard and her eyes still stuck on the ground.

"Great. One more late arrival notice and I can send you to the detention room." the teacher spat with the rudest tone of sarcasm.

The girl didn't utter a word more as she walked quietly towards her seat that was not very far from mine.

"Okay class, back to our lesson..."

...

For some reason I couldn't help but occasionally glance at her.

While she was mindlessly sitting on her chair with airpods plugged in. It didn't even seem like she was paying 100% percent to the class like me either.

"Don't stare at her. She is a killer." Jeonghan whispered quietly as he continued scribbling down the notes.

"She is what-!?" I whisper shouted to him.

"A killer. Just a heads up from me. Now shut up if you don't have the intention of visiting the detention room on your first day." He replied quietly.

I couldn't help but take a last glance at her before turning back to the front.

The flight of a thousand questions has taken off in my mind.

'...how is that even possible? She was smiling brightly in the morning. But not gonna lie, she does give a very different aura than what I saw in her in the morning. Is this her twin or something like that ..?

I guess I need to wait for the right time to figure it out myself.

TIME SKIP~LUNCH TIME

The class rushed out with the sound of the bell.

I was surfing through the pages of a book waiting for the perfect time to talk to her.

Geez..since when did I start being so social? Ew. I hate it.

But then again, I love solving mystery. Or so, I considered this as one.

"...Excuse me?" I called out to the female who was sleeping with her head on the desk.

"...Hello? Can you hear me?"

No response.

Getting impatient I slowly poked her arm.
