Chapter 11

Episode 4: Show Time (part 2)

Leaning against the wall, Arin stared out into space. Her head was pounding vigorously as she bit her nail.

She just couldn't get that scene out of her head.

Arin walked along the hallway and stopped as she heard voiced mentioning her name.

She peeked through the wall to see two of the producers, talking to each other with serious faces.

"Do you think that would be a good idea?"

"Why not? There's no harm. That's why we chose Arin to be the mentor"

"But she has a large fanbas-"

"Which would only cause more attraction. There's multiple clips of her and trainees having private conversations. We can just edit them to make it seem a little intimate"

"But that would take a toll on the trainee's future"

"Who cares?! It's all about the views"

Arin sighed, pulling her hand down. She knew mnet evil edited specific trainees they didn't like but she would've never expected them to that to mentors.

Especially trying to make romance happen.

"I need to be more careful..."

"Hey Arin!"

Arin's eyes widened as she pushed herself up from the wall. "Oh hey.. Zhanghao.."

"What are you doing here?"

Instead of answering Zhanghao she looked around, making eye contact with the camera lenses.

Zhanghao noticed her anxious demeanour and immediately caught on.

"Sorry, Arin masternim. I forgot to use honorifics towards you", he bowed which made Arin's heartbeat slowly go back to normal.

"That's alright, as long as you correct yourself"

Arin took out a pen and wrote down on a piece of paper. Zhanghao just patiently waited for her.

He couldn't help but smile as he remembered her being this frantic before when he was in Yuehua Entertainment.

Zhanghao leaned towards Arin who was writing on a notebook.

"Why are you writing so fast?"

"I do this if I want to tell someone something but I don't want anybody to hear. It also calms me down a bit"

Zhanghao just nodded as he leaned his head back onto the wall, staring at the ceiling.

Both Arin and Zhanghao would just sit next to each other in a training room in silence, just to clear out their thoughts. 

It was like a little tradition that they did.

She ripped the paper out and handed it to Zhanghao. "I have to get going now, see you"

As soon as she left he opened the paper. He chuckled as he saw the words on the paper. 'teach me how to play violin sometime'

He couldn't help but let out a giggle as he remembered those words. He just found it cute that she was so frantic about it.

Arin folded the paper and placed it in Zhangaho's hand. 

"These are some points I think you need to work on", she tapped the back of his hands two times and walked off.

His smile dropped as he opened the paper.

'The producers are trying to edit me in weird situations with the trainees, so dont act like youre close to me when you see a camera.

Also, just incase they evil edit you continue wearing the emoji hair clips. It works like a charm'
