~Few hours later~
~Lenna's pov~

We were finally out of that cramped metal tube of toothpaste and heading over to our pre-booked hotel. I couldn't wait to stretch my legs and take a long, hot shower. As we stepped out of the taxi, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and wonder. The hotel looked like something straight out of a fairy tale. With its quaint architecture and lush green surroundings, it was the perfect blend of vintage and modern. As we stepped inside, the cozy ambiance instantly enveloped us. The lobby was adorned with plush sofas and soft throw pillows, perfect for snuggling up with a book on a rainy day.

"Hello, sirs and ma'am, how may I help you?" The receptionist asked. I handed her my phone, which had our reservations on it. She quickly scanned through it and smiled, saying,

"Welcome to our hotel; we hope you have a pleasant stay with us." She handed us our room keys and directed us towards the elevators. As we stepped inside, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling inside me. This was going to be the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The elevator doors opened to reveal a long hallway with doors on either side.

"I'm taking the biggest room."

"Dumbass, all the rooms are the same."

"Then I'm taking the one that has the best scenery."

"Fuck you."

"Guys guys guys let's not fight cause obviously I'm going to be the one who gets the best room. I mean, I did plan this whole trip after all," I said with a smirk.

"No your father did. Don't take credit for it." Matteo rolled his eyes.

"Well, excuse me, but I did suggest this location and coordinate the details. So, I think it's only fair that I get the best room." I said.

"Oh, please, like your planning skills are anything special," retorted Matteo.

"Alright everyone, let's not argue. We can all agree that I deserve the best room because I'm obviously the most fabulous one here," chimed in Cal sarcastically.

"You wish, Cal. We all know that title belongs to me," I teased. Matteo clenched his fists in anger, his face turning red.

"You always have to make everything about yourself, don't you?" he snapped. I raised an eyebrow, amused by Matteo's sudden outburst.

"Well, someone's feeling a little threatened," I smirked. Cal burst into laughter, clearly enjoying the tension between us. Matteo shot Cal a glare before turning his attention back to me.

"Threatened? Please, I couldn't care less about your delusions of grandeur," he scoffed. I leaned back against the wall, a mischievous glint in my eyes.

"Oh, Matteo, you're just upset because you know deep down that I outshine you in every way," I taunted. Cal's laughter grew louder, filling the room with an electric energy.

Matteo's face contorted with anger as he clenched his fists, his eyes burning with defiance.

"Outshine me? That's laughable," he retorted, his voice dripping with contempt. I could see the fire in his eyes and his determination to prove me wrong. But I wasn't about to back down either. I crossed my arms confidently, leaning against the wall.

"Prove it then, Matteo. Show me what you've got," I challenged, a smirk playing on my lips. The tension in the room thickened as we locked eyes, both of us refusing to back down from the impending battle of wills. Matteo's lips curled into a wicked grin, his gaze never leaving mine.

He walked up to me only to whisper in my ear.

"You better not mess with me, Lenna. You and I both know what can happen when we go head-to-head," he whispered, his breath warm against my skin. I felt a shiver run down my spine, but I refused to let him see any sign of weakness. I straightened my posture, meeting his gaze with determination. "I'm not afraid of you, Matteo," I replied, my voice steady. "I've seen what you can do, but I'm not easily intimidated."
