~Next day~

~Lenna's pov~

We clinked our glasses together, the sound echoing through the cozy little café. As the warm sunlight streamed in through the window, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me.

"Like Lenna, you were so badass! Not only did you beat up the guy like I wanted, but you also collected the information we needed," Kamari exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with admiration. I couldn't help but blush at her praise, a mixture of pride and relief coursing through my veins. Taking a sip of my coffee, I leaned back in the plush booth, replaying the events of yesterday in my mind. It had been a risky move to confront the man who held the key to our investigation, but I couldn't stand by doing nothing.

"And may I ask, if you don't mind, what did you mean by Aurora Hart being your mother?" Atlas asked.

I scratched my head nervously.

"My mom is Aurora Nightingale. Her maiden name was Aurora Hart," I explained, trying to gather my thoughts.

"Wait, so the reowned Ace of Spades's CEO is your mom and also used to be a member of the Shadows?" Zuko questioned, his eyes widening in surprise. I nodded, feeling a mix of pride and apprehension. The revelation had always been a secret, known only to a select few. My mother's past as a member of the Shadows, a notorious underground organization, had been kept hidden from the public eye. But now, as the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, I knew that the truth had to be revealed.

"That's so cool!" Zuko exclaimed, his voice filled with admiration. "I mean, your mom being the CEO of Ace of Spades is impressive enough, but being a former member of the Shadows? That takes it to a whole new level."

I couldn't help but smile at his excitement, grateful for his support. Growing up, I had always been aware of my mother's powerful presence and the air of mystery that surrounded her. She was a force to be reckoned with, both in the business world and in her past life as a shadow.

"But why didn't you tell us before when we were telling you to do research on her?" Kamari asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.

"Well I thought you guys would think of my mother as a criminal or someone dangerous if you knew about her past," I explained, feeling a twinge of guilt for keeping such a significant part of my life hidden. "I didn't want it to affect your perception of her or my family."

Kamari nodded, understanding the reasoning behind my silence. " Why would we? We know that it's a secret organization that kills murderers for police officers and innocent people who can't find justice through the legal system," she said confidently. "Besides, the government was the one who hired them in the first place in case we police officers couldn't do anything about certain criminals." I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at Kamari's matter-of-fact statement. It was true that the organization we were referring to, known as "The Shadows," operated in the shadows of the law, providing a necessary service that often went unnoticed.

"So now that we found more information about the whole Donovola thing, what's our next move?" Matteo asked, leaning back in his chair and folding his arms. Kamari, always one step ahead, had already formulated a plan in her mind.

She looked at me with determination in her eyes and said, "Ok, so now we know the possible motive of Donovola's son. He killed the politician for obvious reasons, but why did he pretend like he died too? We need to dig deeper and uncover the truth behind his disappearance. I suggest we start by investigating his connections and gathering any information that could lead us to the answers we seek. Additionally, we should look into any potential accomplices or individuals who may have aided him in his elaborate scheme. This could be a complex web of deceit and manipulation, but with our skills and resources, I believe we can untangle it and bring justice to those who have been affected by Donovola's actions." Kamari explained. We all nodded.
