Quinn and her family had spent the next couple of days exploring Rivenwood with Prince Alexander and King Frederick. they were in awe of the grandeur of Rivenwood, and the discussions with Prince Alexander and King Frederick only added to their amazement. They learned about the economic policies that had led to Rivenwood's growth, as well as the laws that ensured the welfare of the citizens. The kingdom had made impressive progress in recent years, and they were impressed with the ideas exchanged that could help their own kingdom prosper.

As the time came for Prince Alexander to leave with Quinn and her family to Eldriador, he bid farewell to his parents. As he bowed to them, he could feel his father's stern gaze on him, and he knew what that meant. The pressure to expand Rivenwood and bring it prosperity at any cost weighed heavily on his shoulders. As Prince Alexander got into his royal Rivenwood carriage, he could feel the tension building up inside him. His irritation and determination were growing, and he maintained his charming facade to avoid any unwanted attention. He knew that the relationship between Rivenwood and Eldriador was vital to make Rivenwood great, and he was determined to make it work.

As the carriages made their way down the winding road, the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the trees. Quinn sat in the back of her parents' carriage, listening to them praise Prince Alexander. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy.

"He's only two years older than you, Quinn. Can you believe it?" her father said. "And yet, he's already accomplished so much. I have to say, I'm impressed."

Quinn's mother continued to gush about Prince Alexander. "He's so intelligent and charismatic," she said. "And did you see the way he handled himself during the discussions with your father? He's a natural leader."

Quinn's father nodded in agreement. "And his father, the king. He's quite the impressive figure himself. It's no wonder Rivenwood is such a prosperous kingdom."

As Quinn looked out the carriage window, a knot formed in her stomach, and her chest tightened. She felt a surge of emotions, a mix of inadequacy, envy, and resentment. Her hands clenched into fists, and her breathing quickened as she struggled to control her feelings. It wasn't just jealousy; it was a deep-seated sense of inferiority that gnawed at her. She couldn't help but compare herself to Prince Alexander and come up short every time. Her mind raced with thoughts of her own perceived shortcomings, and she found herself sinking deeper into her own self-doubt.

Meanwhile, in the other carriage, Prince Alexander was having a conversation with Robert. "What did you and Quinn talk about?" he asked, his voice low and threatening.

"We didn't talk about anything important, Your Highness. Just some small talk," Robert replied, trying to keep his composure.

Alexander's eyes narrowed. "Don't lie to me, Robert. You have a habit of sticking your nose where it doesn't belong."

Robert shifted uncomfortably. "I'm sorry, Your Highness. I didn't mean to overstep."

Alexander leaned back in his seat, a small smirk on his lips. "It's alright, Robert. I'm not angry. In fact, I appreciate your curiosity. It shows that you're interested in Eldriador's affairs."

Robert breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Your Highness."

Prince Alexander gazed out the window; his eyes fixed on the passing scenery. "I've been thinking about Eldriador a lot lately," he said, his tone soft but deliberate.

Robert raised an eyebrow. "Is that so, Your Highness?"

"Yes," Alexander said, a slight smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I think it has so much potential. And I believe I could be the one to unlock it."

Robert's expression remained neutral, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the prince's words than met the eye. "What do you mean, Your Highness?" he asked cautiously.

"I have plans for Eldriador. Big plans. Plans that involve bringing it in line with the standards of Rivenwood." ," he said, his voice low and filled with conviction. "I'll reform it in my image and make it like Rivenwood. It'll take time, but it's worth it. And I'll do it my way, no matter what anyone else says."

Robert nodded, a sense of admiration for his prince swelling within him. "Your Highness, your determination and ambition never cease to amaze me. I have no doubt that you'll succeed in your mission to improve Eldriador."

Alexander's eyes gleamed with satisfaction, pleased with Robert's words. "I appreciate your loyalty, Robert. It's rare to find someone who truly understands my vision."

"I'm honored to serve you, Your Highness," Robert said, bowing his head in respect. "I'll do whatever it takes to help you achieve your goals."

Alexander smiled, a sense of twisted self-righteousness emanating from him. "I know you will, Robert. And together, we'll make Eldriador great."
