Ch. 24 Good Intentions

Sua woke to whispers around her.

"Hyung, shouldn't she have woken up by now? Its been too long" Taehyung whispered. "Should we try to wake her?"

"She didn't wake even when I set up the IV." Jin answered. "I don't think she would just wake up if you try to shake her"

"You think she's slipped back into a coma?" Taehyung asked worriedly.

"No, I haven't" Sua croaked.

Taehyung squeaked, backing away from her for a moment and then fell on top of her hugging her close.
"You're awake!" he cried.

Jin pulled him away. "You're going to squish her"

When Taehyung moved away, wiping his eyes, Jin took his place, hugging her. "I've missed you Jag eun sae"

"Yah!" Taehyung yelled at him.

Jin let go of her "I'll go let the others know. Everyone has been eagerly waiting for you to wake up"

She nodded and Jin rushed out of the room, yelling for the rest of them to come.

"How long have I been out of it?" She asked Taehyung hoarsely, trying to sit up.

"Five days" he answered solemnly. "Everyone's been worried. You barely made through the door before you passed out. Jungkook-ah carried you upstairs" Tae explained.

"Oh" she said, trying to remember but everything was a blur.

She heard a scurry of footsteps outside and soon the room was flooded with all of her brothers. They were extremely happy to see her awake. They were all talking and hugging her at the same time. She could barely understand, her mind was still a little hazy. So she simply smiled widely at all of them and hugged them back.

Jungkook hurried behind his brothers. She was awake. Finally. He had been extremely scared the past few days. He had explained her fainting as exhaustion initially but when she still hadn't woken up on the third day, his heart had started to hurt with fear.

He hesitated at the door and watched as Jimin hugged her close. She clung to him, squeezing him to herself and closing her eyes with a sigh "I missed you" she said.

Jungkook stumbled back out of the room. She hadn't seen him. Would she even want to? he wondered. He had promised himself he would let Jimin be with her, that he wouldn't come between them anymore. Sua is good, she is perfect and she deserves the best. Jimin would give it to her. Jungkook was flawed but Jimin was an angel. Isn't that what she called him? Her angel? He would back off, he nodded to himself patting his chest lightly. She was better now, healthy. That was enough for him.

He slumped against the wall just outside her room. He could hear his brothers shooting questions at her at the speed of light. She answered everyone calmly.

"Yah! Hadn't we already established that even if you are a part of 'Bangtan' you aren't really bulletproof?" Yoongi yelled at her.

"I'm sorry Yoongi Oppa. I didn't think.... it was pure instinct." She said softly.

"That's what you said last time" he mumbled.

"If you ever do this to me again, I will kill you myself" Hobi said and Sua chuckled.

"It's not funny" Jin said. "We died a little bit everyday, not knowing what was happening. And Jungkook....." his voice trailed away.

"I'm sorry for what I put you through, what I put you all through" She said.

Jungkook's heart squeezed a little at how small her voice sounded. He wanted to go in there and pull her to himself and never let her out of his sight again. But he couldn't, he wouldn't do that. He owed it to her. He owed her his life.
