Lately I'd been distracting myself with Lucy's problems. She was a social outcast with too much too say, and still you couldn't help but love her.

My parents had someone follow me 24/7. It was either because they didn't trust me or actually gave a damn. That didn't matter to me though, I couldn't deal with the reminder they constantly surrounded me with.

The best part was that the person they had stalking me was none other than my younger brother, Sage.

"If your going to follow me around all day, you could at least give me a hug or buy me a cake." I couldn't help but tease him. I'd always been closest to my brothers. Which make makes sense since my sister's quite a few years younger than me.

"How the hell did you know I was following you?" He raised an eyebrow questioningly and gave me a small hug before continuing to walk with me to Starbucks.
"Oh you know, my sixth sense." I grinned knowingly and put my hands in my pockets for warmth.

He excused my answer by shaking his head and changing the subject. "You didn't have to leave you know."
"Sage." I grabbed his arm to stop him from walking and looked him in the eyes. "This isn't an option for me. Every time I look at any of you, I see him." I had to close my eyes for a moments to catch tears. "I can barely look in the mirror anymore. So nothing you say or do is going to change what I did and how I feel about it."
"Sierra. They don't care, it wasn't your fault! You can't just blame yourself when anything goes wrong. It's not like you're the one who actually killed him." He tried to search for something in my eyes. Understanding, self forgivenesses, or perhaps confidence in my family for once.
"You weren't there. You wouldn't understand. If you had been you would know Hudson's death was my fault. I was selfish and irresponsible and now our brother is dead." I turned away from him and walked away. Of course he'd known better than to follow me after that.

At Starbucks

"Thanks for meeting me. I know you've been very busy lately."
