I make my way to the shield of Hogwarts and suddenly it cracked and broke. The shattered shield was falling to the ground in pieces, it would be quite beautiful despite the consequences.
The death eaters are getting ready to chase Neville across the bridge but before they move I run in front of them and Neville has a face of shock. I speed across the bridge and my eyes meet Ginny's at the other side, Dean stood beside her and they both looked retched. Probably not worse than I do though.
My weak legs start to shake with every step I take forward, the bridge shakes and I don't dare turn around. I suddenly hear screams as more death eaters ran faster and faster to catch up to us. Shit the bridge is falling.
I was well in front of Neville and I made it to Ginny nearly collapsing at the lung.
"Merlin's beard, Aria?!" Ginny exclaimed looking at me with pity while taking in my unhealthy appearance.
"Neville!" We screamed as the bridge fell below him, oh my God. Then suddenly a hand grabbed the wood. Thank God he's alive.
"Well a little help here" He says struggling to get up, Ginny makes her way over and I make my through everyone keeping my head down. Somehow they were all too focused on Neville so no one really noticed my existence.
Now to find Harry.
The castle erupts in chaos as the walls are being blown apart around me. "LUNA! Where's Harry?!" I shout over to the blonde girl who stares at me like she's just seen a ghost. I haven't been gone that long right?
"He's down there. I-" I stop her mid sentence when my eyes find my brother standing talking to Ginny and Neville. How'd they get here this fast? "Thank you Luna"
I rush down to my brother who goes white when he meets my eyes. He looks so different, like he's grown so much in three months.
"Harry" I say when I reach him and my voice breaks.
"Ari- how are you-" He stutters but I bring him into a tight hug, one that I never want to let go of. He pulls away and looks at me and tears spring to his eyes.
"I thought you died. It's been more than a year" His comment made me confused. I thought I was only there for a couple of months. He can't be right.
"A year?" My voice breaks again, not believing that I had missed out on an entire year of my life.
He nodded. "Yes"
