Error's POV a few days later
"This way, Error. Boss set up a space for you to stay in as you please just like the rest of us."Horror says
I roll my eyes, already knowing that I will hardly use that room.
"HoW hAvE yOu bEeN hErE, HoRrOr? GeTtInG tReAtEd rIgHt? AnYoNe I sHouLd wAtCh oUt fOr?"I ask
"Well Killer is a jokester and blunt, insensitive at times. He'd be a concern for your...boundaries I guess. Dust can be a jerk but otherwise everyone is good here. Well, as good as they can be."He replies
I feel something get placed in my hand.
"Chocolate treat for you."He says
I take a bite of it and grin.
"ThAnKs HoRrOr."I say, then snap my fingers
"Ack!"A voice grunts as I tie them up
"WhO iS thE iDiOt sNeAkiNg uP oN mE?"I ask
"That would be Killer. Told you not to, bud."Horror says
I turn around and could tell that there was a hand inched from touching me like a cloud looming overhead. I shake my head.
"WoRd oF aDviCe, KiLlEr. DoN't tOucH mE oR tRy AnY tRiCkS oR I wiLl rIp yOur hAndS oFf."I say
"Okay! Understood!"He says
I release him and hear him run away. Horror continues leading me to my room and opens the door but pauses. I can sense a dark presence in the room and frown.
"Boss, what are you doing in here?"He asks
"I want to welcome Error to his new space as well."Nightmare says
"Right....And you're in his bed because...?"He asks
"Didn't know how long I'd have to wait."Nightmare replies
"DoN't wOrRy abOuT iT, HorRoR. He cAn haVe tHe bEd aLl thAt hE wAntS."I say
"Wait really? This doesn't make you uncomfortable?"He asks
"BeTtEr tHaN iT gAtHErInG dUsT."I say, setting myself in a string hammock by the ceiling
"What the heck?"Nightmare snaps
"ThAnKs fOr thE aTtEmPt, buT I aM gOoD wiTh wHat I hAvE."I say, munching on the snack Horror gave me
"I told you, Boss. He doesn't exactly do change and likes things the way he has them. He enjoys his hammock much better."Horror says
"Well why didn't you insist on it?"Nightmare asks
"You're stubborn too and you were so sure that you were right that I didn't want to argue and get my head sliced off by a tentacle. I've learned from before."Horror says
I sit up in my hammock hearing that.
"BeForE? WhAt iS bEFoRe?"I ask
"Nothing, Error. Don't worry about it."Horror says
"No, HoRrOr. WhAt dId hE dO tO yOu bEfOre?"I ask, my strings yanking Nightmare out of the bed
"Heeey, Error. I'd never intend to hurt Horror."Nightmare says
"Though when he is upset he does swing them quite close to my head. One nearly went in my eye."Horror says
I freeze up at that detail. From my talks and time with Horror, I know how fragile his body is. Malnourished, brittle bones with a hole in head and he only has one eye to see with. His world was so cruel to him and now he falls into this asshole's abusive hands? Nearly blinding him? That's too much like....them. I clench my fists and tighten the strings on him, furious with him.
"HORROR!"Nightmare snaps
"What? I can't lie to Error."Horror says
"SoMe leAdEr yOu aRe. TrY tHat ShIt aGAiN aNd yOu'lL bE aN oCtOpuS sInkInG in ThE oCeAn inStEad oF wAlKiNg."I say, then have my strings toss him into the hall and slamming the door behind him
"Error, I-"Horror begins
"If hE EvEn tRiEs tO lAy a fInGer On You, tElL mE aNd hE wiLl rEgREt iT."I say
"W-Why are you so protective? I've only known you for a few months..."He says, probably never having someone that looked after him like this
"LiStEn HoRrOr, I kNow wHat iT is lIkE to SuFfEr fRoM aBuSe. EsPeciAlLy frOm a PoWerFuL fiGurE. YoU'vE goNe thRoUgH hElL aNd I wOn't lEt piEcEs oF shIt liKe hIm dO woRsE tO yOu. I kNoW thE pAin oF bEinG bLinDed aNd yOu dOn't dEsErVe tO gO tHrOuGh tHaT eIthEr. SpEaKinG oF wHiCh, cOme On."I say, opening a portal
He follows me through and I could feel the sun on my face with a cool breeze rushing past. I walk through the grassy fields on knock at a door.
"What are you doing, Error?"He asks
"LeTtInG yOu bOnD wIth sOmEoNe wHo cAreS. YoU diDn't tHinK tHat i'D foRgEt tHat nIcE sAnS yOu mEntIoNed, dId yA?"I ask
Then the door opens and I hear a gasp.
"W-W-What is going on here?"A Papyrus asks
"HeLlO, iS thErE a SaNs hOme? FaRmeR? I tHinK HoRrOr cAn SpEnd tIme wItH hIm."I say
"Horror!"A voice shouts from inside
I hear someone run past me, then a soft thud as Horror gets knocked to the ground. I hear them laughing and smile.
"I wiLl lEaVe yOu tO iT."I say, heading back to my string hammock through the portal
"He hit a nerve, huh?"A voice says
"UuuGgh, wHaT dId I dO to hAve AlL anoMaLiEs cOme tO bOthEr mE?"I groan, tying the stranger in strings
"I'm just saying that Boss had to of hit a nerve for you to willingly protect Horror."The voice says
"YoU sOunD lIke a Je-WaIt. YOu mUsT bE DuSt."I say
"That's me."He says
"OK sO I Am gOinG tO tElL yOu thE sAmE tHinG I tOld The OtHer tWo. TrY aNytHinG aNd I wIlL rIp yOu aPArt OnE wAy oR aNoTHeR. NoW gEt oUt."I say, tossing him away
The doors shut behind him.
"Nice to meet you too!"He says sarcastically on the other side
I sigh.
Finally! Peace and quiet to myself!
I pick the treat from Horror up again and finish it off.
Mmm! Delicious!
Then my phone rings.
"Squid-face is calling!"The phone reads
