A few days later, Error's POV
It's quiet. Too quiet.
Ugh, I hate this!
I walk through the halls with Perl at my heels, our steps echoing through the empty halls. Yeah, that is correct. This entire castle is empty today! Why? Because the gang left to cause chaos and my brother left to get revenge. For obvious reasons, having no powers and still recovering from the abduction abuse, I didn't and couldn't go along. Then I hear Perl's stomach growl.
Finally, something to do!
"LeT's gEt yOu sOmE fOod."I say with a smile
We go to the stairwell, the loooong stairwell down to the the kitchen. I get an idea, hopping on the railing with Perl in my lap and sliding down it as it spirals much quicker than it would've been to go down the stairs. I hop off, setting Perl down as I enter the kitchen and get his food. I put it in his bowl and he starts to eat away happily. Then I see the conditions the kitchen was left in. A complete mess.
Well I don't have anything better to do....
I clean the tables and counters, putting the dishes into the dishwasher. I had that start running and then wash any that remain in the sink. While I do so, I feel some tentacles sway by my ankles. Then I feel two hands grab my waist and a head rest on my shoulder.
"Hello beautiful glitch.~"A voice coos in my ear
I shut the water off and quickly turn around, seeing a stranger with yellow goopy tentacles standing there with a menacing grin. He looks like Dream but with Nightmare's power...
"Listen, I'll be quick and to the point with you. You're the first that I've found across the multiverse that has a talent for shattering hopes and dreams besides me, crushing souls into pieces. So I, Shattered, want you to join my side. We would be a powerful pair, don't ya think?"He says
"In cAsE yOu hAveN't nOtIcEd, I aM aLreAdY-"I begin
"With Nightmare's gang? I'm well aware. Why do you think I came when you are alone? Whatever he is paying you, I can quadruple it."He says
"I dOn'T gEt pAid. I-"
"So mine is already a better deal than his!"He says
"No, I'm nOt iN iT fOr tHe mOnEy."I say, my hand slipping aside
"Then what the hell kind of currency or value does he use to have you stay?"He snaps
I press a button as he glares at me, waiting for my answer.
"NoNe tHaT yOu'd kNoW. It iSn't pHySiCaL bUt gRoWs oVer tImE."I reply, sliding his hands off of me
I trust him...Much more than someone seeking to cause misery could understand.
Then a giant tentacle forming a fist punches him away, crashing into a wall.
"Stay the hell away from him and get out of my home!"Nightmare snaps
"Tch, possessive much?"Shattered says
Then he glances at me.
"I love someone that provides a challenge.~ Keep playing hard to get, we will see who gives in."He says
Nightmare grabs him with tentacles and throws him out. His tentacles multiply and spread out, repeating the same thing he did when Reaper intruded.
"There, now NOBODY can intrude with portals or teleportation!"He groans
Perl whimpers, calling my attention to him. I see a puncture wound stabbed right through his side as his head hangs in his food dish. I quickly pick him up, trying to heal him.
