15: diving into the sea

Isn't it strange? We just said our goodbyes yesterday and once again, when I woke up the same scene appeared in front of me.

I woke up in a good mood that morning. I made a cup of Jasmine tea as I opened all the curtains blocking the window. I got the same surprise.

There he was , standing beside the jeep. Kicking the stones with his feet from time to time. I was about to call him but he saw me right then. He moved his hands. I saw him hesitating. Then I watched as he awkwardly waved at me.

I was overjoyed and I laughed out loud. I put my tea on the bedside table and rushed out of the door.
"Hi!"

I said as I have him a small hug. I was afraid to make him uncomfortable so I let go in a moment. But , yibo , this guy hugged me tightly against his body instead. His warm breath fell on my neck, making my skin tingle a little.

"What's up with mr.Villain this time?" I asked him jokingly.

"I've a job somewhere. I'll head out today."

I heard him answer. I frowned. I know the job he meant is definitely unspeakable. But why did he tell me this?

"Ah?" I asked, feeling confused.

" It's in a foreign country. It'll take few days."

My heart skipped a beat. I let go of him hurriedly. The jobs Yibo does , is not safe. It's alright if it's in country since they might have some so called connections here. But in overseas, it's dangerous.

I looked at him with a panic sticken eyes.

"Wh-where is it? Can you...not go?" I asked nervously. will he get angry ?

I didn't anger him. He answered patiently, " New Zealand. I can't refuse."

I sighed and didn't make it difficult for him.
"Then come inside, I made some tea ! Have a taste!"

I walked towards the door but heard no footsteps behind me. Puzzled , I looked back. Yibo didn't move but stood there like a statue. I walked back to him and grabbed his hand once again and pulled him, "Come on."

Ah?

I didn't even use any force , didn't even pull his hand . He started walking by himself. Realisation hit me late. Yibo was waiting for me to take his hands? How can he be so sweet! And..childish.

I laughed as he walked beside me. Hearing me laugh, yibo clenched my hand hard and I stopped laughing.

I know Yibo doesn't like drinking tea. If he wants to drink he'll drink carbonated liquid or alcohol. I doubt if he drinks juice or not. I was worrying in vain. He drank the tea with ease , making me feel very proud in heart.

"Do you want to come with me ?" I heard him ask.

My actions stopped. I looked at him with wide eyes . Did I hear him right ? He wants to take me with him? Won't I be a burden if he takes me along ?

Imagine, a lot of bad guys running after Yibo with guns. So Yibo made a run. But even if someone beat me to death, I won't be able to run along with Yibo ! When my health was still good , I managed to come late in our high school marathon race.

Just imagining those scenes gives me goosebumps. I smiled nervously as i bit my lips, not knowing what to say. I want to go with Yibo but I'm afraid of being a burden.

As if sensing my worries , Yibo said sincerely, "Nothing will happen. You're my duty , I'll protect you."

Looking at his serious face as he said this, really makes me want to go and give him a hard kiss.
