(The dance video is relevant! Swipe across~!)

"What?" I felt my heart drop in my stomach. "But isn't she-"

"Yes, Y/N, she is. Are you sure that's who you saw?" Kyrin asked, as Yeji got up, and left.

"Yes, I'm sure... I don't understand - how?" I asked, my mouth feeling dry and my hands feeling clammy.

Yeji came back shortly. "It's only Soozi on, Y/N."

"I've seen Ara around before though, as well..." Yuna said quietly, as we all turned to look at her.
"It was awhile ago though, and I thought it was because I missed her.."

"Companies.. have rumours of ghosts.. so maybe that's it?" Ryujin said, as I just sighed.

"I don't know, but that's so strange, I don't understand, she was so real..." I whispered, as Kyrin frowned.

"What Ryujin said is probably right, which is.. really strange, but it's alright, let's just, move past this." Kyrin said, as they all took their drinks, and we sat around and chatted for awhile.

Then ITZY had a video to film, so me and Kyrin left, so I could do some personal vocal training, and afterwards I went back to ITZY's dance practice room, and got to work with Chaeryeong.

"I have this idea.. so, it's me and you yes? Would you consider yourself a strong dancer, Y/N?" Chaeryeong asked, as I nodded slightly.
"I think so. But I mean, you can only get better, right?" She laughed at that.

"Yes, of course. Alright, here's the song..."

We ran through her ideas as we mapped out the whole dance for the next two hours, and then I went back to my room.

This process continued for a week, and then we got to dancing. It was hard, but I was also learning a lot, so that was a good thing.

"Y/N!" I turned as I was down in the cafe, as Felix and Hyunjin came rushing over.

"We heard what you were doing! And with Chaeryeong? That's amazing! Any spoilers?" Felix asked, his normal eye-grin plastered into his face.

"Ah but then it wouldn't be a surprise! Chaeryeong's making me break my back though, gosh.. she's intense." I whined jokingly, as Hyunjin laughed.

"ITZY's like that, but it's good to learn and dance out of your comfort zone sometimes. And hey, maybe they'll next let you dance with us." Hyunjin mused, as Felix elbowed him, causing him to start whining.

"What the hell was that for?"

"You know exactly what." Felix frowned, before turning back to me.
"I can't wait, Y/N, you're going to do amazing!" He smiled, going to grab my hands, hesitating, before pulling back.

I felt my smile drop slightly - I hated this, so much. Why couldn't we just be normal friends? I wanted to hold him, touch him - no, I wanted to hold the boy from the arcade.
Even though they were similar, they were not the same.

The next two months flew by quickly, and before I knew it, I was in the music bank change rooms, stylists running around and pinning my hair and the clothes onto me and Chaeryeong.

I felt flustered, but mostly a well of panic had filled in my stomach.
Chaeryeong could tell as she came bounding over to me, placing her hands on my shoulders.

"Y/N, it's going to be okay, alright? Don't panic, you've done amazing in all the practices, and you're going to do amazing on stage. We have the dress rehearsal first, and our actual performance is later on, yeah?" Chaeryeong said, as I just nodded, smiling.

"Thank you.. you look gorgeous, by the way." I said, as she smiled.
"You too, you're going to be a very popular idol if they keep you with this make-up style." Chaeryeong said, before she was ushered back by the stylist as they pinned something else to her clothes.

Then it was a waiting game, until our turn to practice for the last time.

Music filled my ears, and from outside the building screams erupted.

"Oh, more idols must be coming, that's usually the cause of the screaming." Chaeryeong said, as they restarted the song, me and her getting to position.

The dance rehearsal went without mistake, as I stood breathing heavily with her at the end, before the director called 'cut!' and we both stopped, turning to hug one another.

"Alright, we've got this."

Hours passed, and suddenly there was a huge crowd, of screaming people, as time ticked closer to mine and Chaeryeongs stage.

I was pulled over back stage into a small room, as Felix gave me a hug.
"You've got this Y/N, trust me, you're amazing! I'll be cheering for you, all of Stray Kids will be!" He grinned, as I hugged him back, my heart pounding in both anxiety from the performance, and his proximity.

Then he left me, as I went back down and found my dance partner, a new found confidence in my stomach.

She gave me one last hug, as we were called out to stage assuming our positions.

People screamed for Chaeryeong, murmurings of "who is that?" As I adjusted my in ear, looking out to the crowd.
My chest felt heavy, heart racing, and hands shaking.

Screams erupted one last time, as I adjusted my top, and then the music begun, and me and Chaeryeong danced.

( Cue the song from above ! I know the dance is Ryujin & Yeji and they didn't sing it but just imagine they did, okay, thank you <3)

It was intense, and hard, and I had to make sure to catch my breath, as we were singing it as well, an added touch Kyrin had decided - being all in English, Chaeryeong was doing quite well.

When the music conceded, I kept my position, looking into the camera for the ending fairy, tilting my head slightly, as people screamed again.

Once the camera men vanished, I rushed to Chaeryongs side, as she pulled me into a hug.

"We did so well, Y/N, you did so well, I'm so proud of you! You're an idol in the making, I'm so proud." She whispered, as I held her tightly, my hands still shaking.

"I just did that.. in front of thousands of people.. oh my god!" I exclaimed, as she just smiled.

"Yes, yes you did."
