Chapter 23

It's been days, and Godt had avoid Copter at the hospital and even at work. Their communication both with Bas as normal as before, but Godt will avoid talking with Copter as much as he could, with Bas realize it or not.

Copter was always working late because of the pile of works with patients and also reports after reports. As usual, he will always skipped his meal because of so much busy, but back then he had Tee and Godt to remind him. But now that he was divorced with Tee, he rarely sees the guy since Tee was always had a lunch out, according to the nurse that worked with him, talking about how Tee had already had someone else in his life despite divorced with Copter not too long ago.

But that wasn't his concerned anymore and he just ignore all that things they were talking about, but Godt was different. The way Godt avoiding him, and not even looking at him straight, and not to say, he didn't care about him even a bit, he felt the hurt of abandonment, and he should know that Godt might still felt betrayed by him, yet he hated himself because feels hurt because of it. clearly, it was all his fault, not Godt's.

Even though he felt the hurt, he couldn't complained since it was all his fault to begin with. Copter keeps thinking about the things he needs to do, to make things better again. And, no matter how much he think about it, all he could think was he leaving them is the only solution. He didn't want to make things worse to Godt, and he wished to see the guy to be happy again, even without him. He missed Godt's smile, Godt's caress, and all those small things Godt did for him that he took it for granted before, now was all gone. Godt might had given up on him, after what he did with Bas, and thinking about the fact, it hurts him more than anything.

Copter couldn't sleep well, couldn't eat properly, but he was trying his hard to show Bas and Godt that he was fine, as usual. But still, Copter's condition was getting bad to worse every day, and even if he had time for a meal, he didn't really had the appetite. He always come back home late, and if Bas offered him dinner, all he said was he was tired and he needs sleep more than anything. Even that, he couldn't really had his sleep.

Copter was just finished his reports when the time come for him to meet the patient, reminded by Nurse Fay. He was just about to stand up when he was suddenly had a blacked out, but he was able to hold on to the table, and later Nurse Fay had rushed to help him and let him take his seat back.

"Sorry Nurse Fay, could you please cancel my appointment for today? And let me have IV fluids here, please not let anyone knew about this. I was just too tired, didn't need to alarm anyone." With a heavy heart, Nurse Fay had nodding her head and was doing everything according to Copter's direction.it wasn't even the first time things like this happened.

"Dr, you need to take care of yourself. There's a lot of mistakes in the report and Dr. Suthee had complained much about it nowadays. He actually asked you to see him later." Said Nurse Fay while setup the IV fluids for Copter.

"I'll go see him later, once I finished with this fluids. Just do not let anyone disturb me, and if anyone need to see me, tell them, it's my break time."

"Cop, you came back early today. We just about to have dinner, let's have dinner together." Copter was just getting into the house when Bas cheerfully greeted him and Godt was just serving the food without any glance at Copter.

"Okay, let me take my shower a bit. I'll be back shortly." Copter said heading straight to his room.

Coming out of the room, fresh after shower, Bas and Godt had already waiting for him. He could see how Godt was smiling hearing Bas was telling him about his exhibition that will soon to be launch.

Bas then turned to him and his bright smile had makes Copter day brighter, and he wished he could have that bright smile for him every day. But he knew he should never be greedy.

"Cop, come here. What took you so long, I'm hungry, you know." Copter then was smiling and walked fast heading to the dining table, joining Bas and Godt.

"OOohhh, I should never make you wait to eat. I know what you like whenever you are hungry." Copter said while taking his seat, and Bas just sticking his tongue out to Copter making him laugh a little but when he turn to Godt, Godt would just looking down on his own plate, not even care to give him a glance nor response to their conversation.

'Am I annoyed him by being here?' Copter was thinking but taking his seat anyway.

"Let's eat, what are you waiting for?" Bas who look at Copter who was just looking down at his plate, urged him to start eating. The three of them then having the dinner as usual, at least for Bas. But Copter knew how awkward he felt with the way Godt behave with him and the way he treated Bas as special as before.

After finished the dinner and helping Bas with the chores, Copter was asking, while making sure Godt heard him too.

"Hmmm....I can go work a little later tomorrow, let's eat breakfast together?" Copter was asking while looking at Bas and Godt one after another.

"Sorry Cop. I need to be early for my meeting tomorrow. The launch date getting near with a lot of things not yet settled, so, I can't. Maybe, P'Godt can. P'Godt?" Bas's question ad makes both Copter and Bas turned to Godt at the living room.

"Sorry, I can't. Need to go early for appointment tomorrow." Godt said while looking straight at Bas, but make sure not to Copter, making Copter sighing a little bit, so that Bas couldn't notice it. Bas then pat his shoulder, while giving him reassuring smile.

"We could have it later, so don't worry, okay. You could have a sleep in, you were too tired nowadays. Anyway, I need to get into the room, need to rest early, to wakes up early tomorrow. Night, Cop. Night, P'Godt" Bas then leaving them both at the living room, heading to his room to have an early rest. The three of them still stayed in the separating room since that day and they actually still taking their time. But Copter knew, Godt already had his own decision, and he should respect that decision.

Copter was just about to join Godt at the sofa, watching television, when Godt had standing up right away, turning off the tv, and left Copter dumbfounded in the living room, heading straight to his room, closing the door behind him, without even giving a glance at shocking Copter.

Copter could had expected that, but it still hurt, and without even had any control, the lone tears had dropped and he took his step slowly to his room. Slowly, and quietly, not even trying to make any noise, Copter had took the baggage on top of the cabinet, opening it, and start packing. While packing, he couldn't stop crying, thinking that he will leave Bas and Godt behind, so that Godt and Bas could have a happy life without him in the middle. But it hurts. It still hurts so much, but he knew he had to do this.

Because he loves them both so damn much, so he had to do this.
