Mikey's POV.

"Mikey," Kakucho started, tapping his foot impatiently on the ground, "it's one in the morning; how much longer do you want to wait?" he asked me as I thought for a moment, contemplating.

We needed enough time for an escape, and we didn't want anyone going home before the deed was complete.

"No time like the present, wouldn't you say?" I wrapped my knuckles around the balcony, watching them as they turned white with my grip. I stared down into the crowd below; their smiling, happy faces made me want to be sick.

They had no idea what they were in for.

I stepped back from the ledge, turning to face both Bonten's high-ups and Y/N, who stood side by side, a slightly and almost identical anxious look spreading across their faces.

"Ran, I want all of the Valhalla's here escorted into the drawing room; we'll release them like a flock of sheep when the time is right back into the ball room," I started, turning on my heels and striding towards a set of double doors at the back of the room, Aleara and Bonten's high-ups following closely behind me.

"Yes, of course," Ran nodded. "I'll have men round up the rest of the guests and set them up on the second floor to overlook the assassination," he stated. I merely nodded and continued my way.

"Good, good, Y/N and I will unload the weapons from the car to give to the firing squad," I told them both, pushing open the double doors and exposing us to the cold night air.

My footsteps halted, and I spun around, looking Y/N directly in the eyes.

"You," I addressed her, "do you want to leave the room or stay with me?" I asked.

"I don't know," she shrugged shyly.

"Well, you need to know that there are to be no weak spots in this operation." "I'll stay." She attempted to look confident, but I saw the lump she forced herself to swallow.

However, this wasn't the time to debate the situation; it just needed to happen without hesitation.

"Okay, great, sure." I nodded, slightly weirded out that she wanted to watch an assassination after all we had been through.

"Good luck, boss." Rinduo extended a hand to me; I took it and smiled.

"See you at the compound."

"Let's blow those bitches to smithereens."

"I'll have the drinks lined up for our success." We shook hands, going in for a hug. I slapped him on the back. I couldn't ask for a better wing than Bonten's high-ups; no matter what, they always had my back.

"No funerals," I whispered in his ear as he slapped my back.

"No mourners," he whispered back.

We let each other go and gave a brief nod to signal the start of our operation; plan 'blow up the Valhallas" was now in play.

I turned to Y/N, who looked sh*t scared at the thought of potential death.

"So, this is your first operation; great," she let out a small laugh.

I had to make the situation seem less daunting for her; otherwise, she would be traumatized, and I wouldn't be able to focus.

"I will be your captain today and your instructor." I let out a small smile as she giggled.

"Ay captain," she smiled softly as we began the short walk to the car.

"Whatever happens, I'll be right beside you, and just know that you can abandon the situation at any time you want," I reminded her, opening the back of our 'weapons' SUV.
