Chapter 31 - is that a bit funny

Carmeñ's pov:

As soon as I stood in front of the Canadian I pulled her into my arms holding her tightly. She did the same and wrapped her arms around my waist.
'hey Lee' she said into my hair.
'hey J' I said smiling.
'Let's go'

'So how are you doing?' She asked not taking her eyes off the road.
'You k ow what I'm actually okay' I said smiling at her. She look over and her eyes met mine. It felt like years that we were just looking at each other until she coughed and turned back to the road. I smiled to my self again and then started to tell her about how exited how I was for the Euros.

When we got back home it was around 3pm England time. We were going to have a team dinner at 5 so we sat and watched a Chelsea men's game.

At 4 we started to get ready. It was casual so I threw on some jeans with a nice white top and put a baseball jacket on over the top. I left my hair down and had my necklace on. It was Marc's necklace and i hadn't taken it off since I was given it only for matches.

'Oooo look at you not in a tracksuit' Niamh said as I walked into the lounge. I rolled my eyes and gently shoved her.
'Your so annoying let's go'

We took my car and drove to the restaurant. We were only 10 minutes late so as we came In everyone was already sitting down. I sat in the corner with Millie, Sam, Guro, Erin.
'Mills!' I said as I sat down next to her. She side hugged me and kept her arm round my shoulder.
'You alright kiddo? Look at you not in a tracksuit and I saw your getting a bit famous on TikTok' she teased and I frowned.
'What is kiddo?' I said confused. Everyone who was listening started laughing while I just sat there confused. Niamh who was sitting near shoved her camera in our faces asking us what was funny.
'We'll Mil called Tissiè kiddo but she didn't ..... she didn't k ow what it meant and she ...... and she asked what is kiddo' Sam breathed out inbettween laughs. This set Niamh off as well laughing into the camera. I rolled my eyes.
'Is that a bit funny' I said sarcasm laced into my voice.

'Here's to wining some metal!' Magda said and we all clinked out glasses. I took as sip and leaned my head on Guro's shoulder. It was getting on for 11 and I was tired. We didn't have anything to do tomorrow but the day after was training. Guro suddenly moved making my head jerk up so I went and sat next to Jess. I rested my head on her shoulder and leaned into her. I closed my eyes but grabbed her hand to play with her fingers. She just continued her conversation with M and P.

'Come on Lee we are going now' i head Jessie's voice say. I opened my eyes see that my head was now in her lap with my legs on the empty space beside me. I smiled up at her and sat up.
'What time is it?' I asked
'Almost half 2' she said yawning. I looked around to see some of the girls still chatting away happily. Niamh was still chatting to Beth England and Jess carter.
'Charlieee' I sang dragging J with me over to her.
'Leee' she said back
'Come on we are going now' I said grabbing her hand as well.
'Is it okay if I stay for a bit?' She asked me and J.
'Ofc it's is do you want us to pick you up' I said.
'No it's okay I'll go back with Jess and Beth's my stay with them' she said
'Okay I'll see you tomorrow' I said hugging her and Jessie did the same.
'Bye goodnight' she called and we walked out the door.

We got in the car and I was driving. It was pretty quiet so we drove down many empty roads.
'Do you need this hand?' She whispered without look at me. I shook my head no so she gently took it in hers.

We stayed like that until we pulled into our house. We got out and walked in the house.
'Do you wanna watch as movie?' She asked still holding my hand. I nodded
'But first let's get changed' I said and she smiled.

10 minutes later we both plopped on the sofa next to each other.
'What do you wanna watch?' I said tuning to face her.
'Ummm can we watch goggle box?' She asked and I smiled. I loved goggle box so of course I agreed.
'Good choice' i Said and turned it on. I nestled into her and she put my head on her lap. She softly tan her fingers through my hair and I felt sleep coming over me.

I woke up when I felt something in my face. I opened my eyes to see a camera.
'que mierda!' I said swatting the camera and the person holding it. (What the fuck)
'Owww bloody hell Volvo' Niamh said stepping back. She had taken a preticular liking to the names Volvo and BMW. She thought she was funny. She was nattering to the camera and pointed it to us. Only then I realised the position that me and J were in. We were both laying next to each other with her arms around my waist and my body nestled into hers. I felt Jess move next to me and she opened her eyes. She look at me and smiled.
'Awwww' Niamh said sticking her bottom lip out. Jessie look up and blushed see her stand there and the camera. She hid her face in my hair in embarrassment. Niamh smirked at me so I picked up the nearest pillow and threw it at her.

We finally got up and I wanted to go on a run.
'Charlie can we go on a run' I said as I sat down opposite her at the island. As always she had her camera out.
'Ughhh do we have to' she groaned. 'See guys that is what I am forced to do on my day off go on a run' she said into the camera and I gently smacked the back of her head.
'Yep' I said 'J come here for a sec' I shouted. A few seconds later Jessie walked into the room.
'J me you and Charlie are going to go on a run juntos' i said smiling. (Together) she frowned.
'juntos?' She asked.
'Lo siento I ment together' I said blushing. (Sorry) Jessie poked at me.
'Awww it's okay Lee' she said and pulled me into her. I hid myself in her arms.
'Can we go on that run now?'

30 minutes later we stood outside the building ready to run. We started to run and only about 10 minutes of chatting while running Niamh pulled out her camera.
'What are we doing?' She asked me.
'We are on a runnnn' i said happily skipping ahead a bit before falling back into place with them.
'Jessie how do you feel about this' she turned the camera on the Canadian who hid behind me.
'Take it away Niamh' she warned still hiding.
'Gosh okay'

'Okay so do you best English accent' Niamh said exited.
'Do you want some tea?' I said in a terrible English accent making J and Charlie double over laughing.
'Okay but if you tried to do a Spanish accent I would be the one laughing' I said crossing my arms.
'I actually think I would do it really well' Niamh said.
'Come on then Charlie if you go' I said.
'hola, como Estes' she said in an even worse Spanish accent. It was me and J's turn to laugh.
'I really hope I don't sound like that' I said through giggles making me and Jessie bust out again with Niamh going on this time.

Manly a filler chapter and I'm starting to move the story on so this chapter is set around the end of march 2022 and the next chapter will be set around end of may 2022 so as the season starts to end. Thank you for reading xx
