Chapter 50 - well you could have specified that

Carmeñ's pov:

Nothing that interesting happened in September except for the whole thing with the national team. We all knew that the way we were treated wasn't right but only some of us actually did something about it. 15 of us including me wrote identical emails to the federation explaining our concerns. It was mostly the Barça girls and none of the Madrid girls said anything but I knew something had to be done. Lex didn't say anything and I was upset but I understood. She didn't want to miss out on anything else. The season had started again and we sat at the top of Liga F. Lex's documentary was teased to the world and we had done lots of filming for that. I was quite enjoying it to be honest.

Anyway today we were going to France to the Ballon d'Or ceremony. I had full faith in Lex to win it.
/'okay now turn left'/ Lex said trying to get us back on the way the google map said. I turned left.
/'no not that way!'/ she sighed and put her head in her hands.
/'I went the way you said!'/ I said laughing.
/'well it was the wrong way go back'/ she was laughing as well and I turned around.

/'look who finally arrived!'/ coach said as me and Lex walked onto the bus.
/'sorry coach'/ I said.
/'it's alright Carmeñ'/ he said and patted my head as I walked past. I smiled at the camera and the boys that were sat at the back. Lex sat down in the empty seat and I sat opposite her. Frida, Oshuala and Lucy sat next to us.

Just as the bus started to move Lucy came and sat next to me. It was bright outside and we all chatted. At some point I layed my head on Lucy's shoulder and fell asleep.

I woke up and everyone was still just chatting as we pulled up to the airport.
'You okay?'/ Lucy asked me and I hummed in agreement.
We were ushered out of car into the airport.

We didn't have long and we're basically straight onto the plane. I walked onto the plane with Lucy. We had the whole plane to ourselves but I still went and sat next to Lex enjoying her presence.
To be fair we all sat quite close to each other seeing as it was a short flight to Paris.

We landed and it was raining which I was not impressed about.
'Vaig pensar que París era càlid' I mumbled missing the warmth of Barcelona. (I thought it was warm in Paris)
'It is most of the time' Lucy said shrugging and I raised my eyebrows at her.
'Those Catalan lessons have been paying off' I said elbowing her and she grinned.
'ja no et parlo en anglès' I said smirking. (I'm not talking to you in English anymore)
'What?'/ Lucy said.
'aquestes ulleres et fan semblar vell' I said. (Those glasses make you look old)
'Stopppp I don't understand' she said and threw her arm over my shoulder as I laughed.
'Your such a child'

After what felt like an eternity of travelling we made it to the hotel. And do the food.
'Food I'm starving' I said linking arms with Lex and dragging her over to the table.

/'Lex when are we seeing Ma'/ I asked as we wondered back to our hotel.
/'I'm not sure but the make up people are waiting to walk fasterrr'/ she said and basically dragged me back to the room.

After our make up and hair was done Lex's in a ponytail, mine was just down, we put our dresses on. We pushed our cases down to the lobby where we met everyone else. Loads of photos were taken of us all before we were loaded into more cars.

/'Al you look stunninggg'/ I said throwing myself into the older woman's arms.
/'and you look all grown up'/ she squealed pinching my cheeks make me go red.
/'Alba stop hogging Car'/ Eli said pushing Al out of the way to reach me.
/'you look all grown up'/ she said hugging me tightly.
/'hey I just said that!'/ Al said.

Before we walked on the red carpet I held Lex back.
/'Lexy I know your nervous but no matter what happens tonight I'm so so proud of you and I know that the people up there are as well'/ I said looking up as I did so. She pulled me into her and we stayed in each others arms until we were shooed onto the carpet.

Me and Alba had run off from Lex at some point and everyone was going to their seats.
/'Car'/ she said.
/'yes'/ I said.
/'we don't know where our seats are'/ she said looking at me seriously.
/'oh shit'/
/'right look and see if there is anyone you know'/ she said scanning the crowd.
/'well that's -'/
/'no stupid people that you are close with'/
/'well you could have specified that'/

'Viviannna! Oh gràcies a Déu' I said wrapping my arms around the much taller Dutch woman. (Thank god in Catalan)
'Carmeñ!' She said hugging me back.
/'Al you remember Viv right she's Jill's friend'/ I said linking arms with her so we both stood in front of Viv.
'Why are you not with Alexia are you okay?' She said her mum mode starting to kick in.
'Well we kinda ran off and now we don't know where our seats our' i said smiling sweetly at her. She flicked my head.
'Your so annoying come on let's find Alexia'

It turns out that I was sat next to Viv anyway with Lex on the other side of me right at the front.

'Alexia Putellas' the man said and Lex met mum eyes that were now watering with pride.
/'for him'/ she whispered and kissed my forehead before going up to accept the reward. I cheered and clapped as loud as I could. I cried at her speech and when she sat back down I hugged her tightly.
/'there is no one who deserved this more'/

I'm backkkkk. It's been a minute. I was on holiday ans had the best time ever. This was shot but it was important anyway. Also I'm getting a bit bored of this story so tell me if you want me to continue or not. Also I hated seeing the English girls cry but I think the Spanish girls deserves it so much and I'm so proud of them. They won it as players not a federation. Anyway ty for readingggg xx
