The next morning I woke up late and so I quickly took my bath and did everything I needed to do before putting on a white T-shirt and a black short and matched it with a white sneakers before going downstairs to meet them all eating breakfast so I joined them, aunt Chrissie served me breakfast which was fish and chips
"what happened ruby? you have never woken up late before"aunt Chrissie said taking a seat
"nothing serious aunt, I was reading a novel so I woke up late"I said with a fake smile
"you know I don't like it when any of you stay up late "aunt Chrissie said
"I'm sorry aunt"I said
"it's alright my love"she said taking a sip of her coffee and focused on the newspaper in her hand
"aunt I would like to have a word with you after breakfast privately"I said
"hope no problem?"she asked
"I hope so"I whispered to myself before concentrating on my food.
After breakfast she took me to her room and locked the door
"what is it you wanted to discuss"she asked
"aunt Chrissie do you know my dad?do you know who he is? where he is?"I asked and she looked panicked
"ruby "she said weakly
"aunt you are hiding something, please tell me I need to know" I said holding her hand and she looked deep in thought
"fine have a seat"she said and I sat on the bed while she sat opposite me on the couch
"okay"I said prepared for the worse
"your dad's name is Hunter Dwight Howard,he was a vampire and I suppose you know who vampires are and your mother's name was Isabella and she was a werewolf,she gave birth to you on a red moon which is a special day for all supernatural, your father gave you to me to protect you because he knew the royals would come looking for you and so would other supernatural"she said
"why did you use 'was' when you were telling me my mum's name?"I asked
"because your mum is dead,she died while giving birth to you"she said
"so all this while I was a hybrid"I said and she nodded
"is that the reason for my strange behavior"I said and she shrugged
"so all the strange feelings I have and that voice..... that voice was as a result of this too"I said and she looked at me confusedly
"do you know where I can find my dad?"I asked
"no I don't, ruby"she said and stood up from the couch she was sitting
"but you have to know something"I said
"what do you mean ruby?"she asked angrily
"that now I am going to find my dad at all cost"I said
"what?"she asked shocked
"you heard me right aunt I'll find him no matter the cost I want to know what he looks like"I said
"no way ruby I know you are stubborn but I won't let you disobey me this time, I won't let you go into the world to look for a father you know nothing about"she said with pleading eyes
"aunt you shouldn't disturb yourself unnecessarily I know that I would find him"I said and left her room determined.
I entered my room and went searching for things about vampires on my laptop
"why are you wasting your time?"I heard Theo ask and looked to my left side to see him sitting close to me on the bed
"how did you get in here?"I asked "I am a vampire duh"he said
"what do you want?"I asked
"I want to help you"he said
"thanks but your help is not needed "I said and continued what I was searching for
"you will need my help ruby"he said and disappeared, I needed to find my dad and know the truth and I was ready for anything.......
