Weeks have passed and it was a day to Fiona's birthday the palace was been decorated and various activities were been carried out but despite that I made sure I knew whatever Arthur was doing and wherever he was going, you can say I've been stalking him. I came out of my room and saw Arthur leaving his room so I started following him as usual,he entered the kitchen and took something to eat before leaving the palace and I followed him carefully. He went to the same place I saw him with her the first time and as usual I hid from them "Arthur"she said with a smile "I brought what you requested for"he said "oh really that's good news"she said and he rolled his eyes "so where is it?"she asked "it's right here"he said and brought out a bottle of blood and handed it to her "this is what you wanted so now can you tell me what next"he said "calm down Arthur, why the rush"she said with a mischievous smile "I smell betrayal in your word Carrie"he said "why would you say that Arthur"she said looking sad and I knew it was pretense "oh shut up Carrie I know what you can do with my blood"he said "but you know I wouldn't do that right"she said "I need you to tell me what I want to hear Carrie not these"he said getting angry "fine I'll talk to you later for now I have to take this somewhere"she said "seriously Carrie"he said "don't worry Arthur you know I've never promised and failed you"she said "whatever I'll be expecting you"he said and walked away angrily. I came out of my hiding place and walked up to Carrie who was about to leave "don't think I'll let you leave with it"I said and she turned to look me "I knew you'll be somewhere but don't think you can do much because I already have possession of this"she said smiling mockingly at me,she was about disappear when I held her hand and pushed her to the ground and she groaned in pain she hit me in my stomach and I sat on the ground so she sat on me and began punching me but I held her hand that was about to punch me again and rolled her over before taking the nearest stone close to me and hitting it on her face and it weakened her and so I quickly took the blood and began walking away. I arrived at the palace and cleaned myself up before I was told that my dad wanted to see me so I left with Adam who volunteered to take me,we arrived at my dad's house in the evening and we were greeted by Edward "where's da?"I asked when we got in "he is in the study room"he said "okay"I said and went into the study room and he was busy working on some paperwork and didn't notice my presence "hey dad"I said "ruby"he said smiling from ear to ear "my child"he said and hugged me, I noticed that he had lost some weight and his beards had grown longer "haven't you been eaten well?"I asked "I have but work has also been the order of the day for me"he said and sat down again to continue working again "what work?"I asked "you don't expect me to start listing the works I do daily"he said and I smiled "alright then let's see how I can help"I said, I helped him for sometime while adam took his leave promising to come pick me up the following day. We finally left his office and I followed him to his room since we were discussing "do you have any cloth for the ball?"he suddenly asked crossing his arms as he stood close to his mirror while I sat on his bed "yes, queen Avery got me a ball gown"I said "why did she get you one?"he asked "I don't know maybe she thought it would be good to get me one since she was also buying one for Fiona"I said shrugging my shoulder "must you wear it?"he asked "if you don't want me to I won't"I said and he smiled before walking to the wardrobe "I want to show you something"he said and began digging into his wardrobe bringing out some clothes in the process and then he stopped digging but kept on looking into his wardrobe smiling before he brought out a gold box "what is this for?"I asked "it was your mother's"he said while placing it on the bed and he also sat down,he opened it and brought out the most beautiful ball gown I have ever seen "this was the gown your mother wore the first time I saw her"he said "I'd like to hear about it"I said smiling mischievously "no that's a story for another day"he said and got silent for sometime before he spoke again this time in a whisper "you look just like her in everything ruby, she was so fierce and beautiful and she didn't deserve to die"he said tears threatening to fall off his eyes before the tears finally began to fall out of his eyes freely and it looked as if he was relishing some moments "you look so much like her"he said and caressed my cheek "she was my mother"I said smiling proudly and he stood up quickly and cleaned the tears off his face "you can take the box to your room and go through it while I wait for you in the dining"he said before he left his room so I took the box to my room and went to eat dinner before we said our goodnight and went to our various rooms, I took out the box and brought out all the contents and then I saw a picture of her and I must say we looked alike the only difference was that she was older than I was, she wore the gown in the box and everything she wore was just perfect and the only thing that popped into my head was to see how I'll look in the same dress.
Arthur's POV I sat down on the dining table with my family, I looked at the vacant seat beside me where ruby was supposed to sit "oh thank God that mistake isn't here"I said, I wondered why I hated her so much? but what can I say she caused it "and who is that?"my father asked "who else if it isn't your pretty warrior"I said mockingly "you aren't suppose to call your mate names Arthur"my mother said frowning and I laughed "I have given up on that mate of a thing it only made me look weak but now without her I am stronger and better than before"I said "Arthur what have you turned into?"my mother asked disappointedly "a better person"I said and continued eating my food "Arthur"Fiona said and I looked at her "what?"I asked rudely " it wasn't all her fault you were also cruel to her and do you expect her to act all nice when you ask for her forgiveness"she said "Fiona this is none of your business"I said "it is"she said shouting at me and I felt like tearing her to pieces for doing that, how dare she shout at me like that "she is now my sister Arthur and her business is my business and vice versa"she said still shouting "fiona"I called but she ignored me "you have no fucking right to be angry at her"she said "what did you say?"I asked daring her "I'm sure you heard so why do you need me to repeat myself"she said and I looked shocked because she was always the weak one and she had never raised her voice at anyone before she didn't even take enough training from master Archibald before she said she wasn't interested anymore so she was automatically the weakest "you shouldn't have said that fiona"I said "why? what would you do?" she asked and my eyes changed to a complete red and my claws came out and so I stood up angrily and grabbed her neck tightly to choke life out of her and she gasped "how dare you fiona?"I shouted angrily "leave her alone Arthur"my dad said and tried to stop me but I used something that Carrie gave me to cause a barrier around me so he couldn't come closer "leave her alone please Arthur"my mother said like the weakling she was "fine"I said and lifted her up before throwing her to the floor and her body bent into an abnormal form before she healed and got back in place and started coughing "you are weak Fiona for a vampire princess"I said and looked at her with a mocking smile "I am not scared of you Arthur even though you want us to be but let me tell you that one of the best things I learnt from ruby was to never be afraid so do your worst Arthur"she said and I immediately frowned "keep your tiny mouth shut or you'll regret it" I said "what are you going to do huh"she asked getting up "what do you think?"I asked coming closer to her but she didn't look scared at all "stop that you guys"king Alexander said standing up "I have heard enough of your nonsense Arthur"my father said,frustrated I stood up and with a last glare at fiona I left for my room.
