I put the last of my bags in my dad's Lamborghini huracan, I was leaving master Archibald's house back to my dad's house
"I'm going to miss you uncle"I said giving him a tight hug
"me too child"he said and gave me a peck on my forehead
"you know you are my best student and I have taken you as my child so please don't forget all that I have taught you and I'm sure you would overcome any challenge you are faced with"he said
"thanks master"I said
"how I wish you don't have to leave"aunt Karen said and I smiled
"I have to aunt"I said
"can't you just stay with us for few more days at least?"she asked
"I wish I could aunt but I have a meeting with the vampire royals"I said
"okay but please don't forget us,do come and visit"she said
"I can never forget you"I said and she pecked my forehead
"we have to go now master"my dad said
"bye aunt"I said and she looked like she was going to cry any moment from now and uncle Archibald tried to console her, I waved them a good bye and we left.
"there's something I have to ask dad"I said as we went driving down the road
"which is?"he asked not keeping his eyes off the road
"why did the king send for me?"I asked confused
"I thought you said he wanted to kill me because I am an hybrid"I added
"yeah he did want to kill you before but I talked him out of it to see the brighter picture and so he said that as long as you fought for the goodness of the vampire kingdom you can remain alive"he said
"I just hope he isn't up to something really bad and dangerous"I said to myself as we drove into the big compound of my dad's house and I smiled happily feeling at home I was very tired so I quickly ate and slept.
The next day my dad and I were on our way to the palace, I didn't want to go because I had to face the prince who didn't want me and the king who didn't like me but I have to be at the stupid meeting.
The car stopped at a very big place
"wow the palace is bigger than I thought"I said taking in the place
"wait till you see the inside"my dad said as we walked towards the entrance where a maid was standing
"welcome my lord"she said bowing down
"how are you Pauline?"he asked
"fine my lord"she said
"I'm ruby lord Dwight's daughter"I said with a smile and her eyes widen a little
"I'm so sorry for not greeting you my lady"she said a little bit scared
"it's okay Pauly"I said shortening her name and she smiled shyly
"common love let's leave 'pauly' to focus on her work"my dad said dragging the Pauly and we walked into the palace
"dad where is the meeting going to hold?"I asked
"at the meeting room"he said and we walked for sometime till we got to a big double door and a guard at the door opened it and we walked in.
The place was very big and there were set of swivel chairs arranged in a circular form around a big table
"welcome my friend,do have a seat" the king said, seated on some of the chairs was the king, queen, prince Adam, prince Arthur,the princess
"king Alexander this is my daughter ruby"my dad said
